Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to write to say hello and give an update on Leo. He is doing great and is still loving life. We are trying to get the right dose of medication to keep his underactive thyriod in check, which is why he has gained a little weight and is having trouble shedding it.
I feel really bad because I have been so busy lately. Aside from working full time, I am also a student. I am graduating in December (finally) with my bachelor's in accounting. All my free time has been spent with Leo. We have been going to the park a lot lately and he has been making lots of friends. People always ask me if he was in an accident. They are shocked to hear that he has cancer because he is so vibrant and energetic. He drags me all over the park after the squirrels. I just cherish laying in the grass with him at our break spot. I am tired of being streched to the max and I am trying harder to make the most of the time we have together. After summer session at school is over, I have 5 weeks until I start my final semester. We are probably going to take a dog-friendly vacation during that time. Leo keeps me positive and strong because he just never gives up. I can have the worst day but when I get home, there is Leo wiggling his stumpy tail and vibrating from happiness. It just makes me melt!
Hope you all have a wonderful day! Hug your babies.
Sheri and Leo
Sheri, congratulations on almost being done with school, that is such a huge accomplishment. And to be a student and a Tripawd pawrent must be a real challenge. Hats off to you!
Don't feel bad about being wrapped up with school, Leo knows that you spend every waking minute thinking of him. All that matters is that when you do get out together, enjoy every second chasing those squirrels and basking in his celebrity status. It's so great to see how our Tripawd dogs can make such an impact on people, isn't it?
Stay focused on the prize, and keep sending us those hoppy updates. We love this good news!

Leo is such a beautiful boy, and he looks so happy …
And forgive me for being rude, but am I seing things, or is he also missing an eye, like Nova?
PS: Spending all your free time with Leo is absolutely no reason to feel bad! Thanks for the wonderful update.
