Hello everyone, sorry that I do not get on here as often as I should. I wanted to share Bailey's good news. Tomorrow will be 7 weeks from when Bailey had to have both her spleen removed and her rear right leg removed due cancer. After they diagnosed it as an aggressively metastasizing sarcoma (following the biopsies taken during surgery), the vets told us that she would probably only have 4-6 weeks to live (from the day of the surgery) if we did not do any treatments. We chose to do the metronomic chemotherapy and I am happy to say that she is doing so well. I am so happy that we have made it to 7 weeks! Take that cancer!! We had her recheck radiographs and ultrasound last Friday and there are no new tumors or to quote Bailey's vet "there was no evidence of gross spread cancer found." We are so thrilled right now! Bailey is doing great, eating and running around like a champ, acting like her old self again and slowly but surely her hair is finally starting to grow back. We are so happy to have her here with us! I will keep you posted as her future check ups come along as we continue on the metronomic chemotherapy .
Thank you all for the support and the advice you have given us as we have been going through this whole process! It means so much to have a place like this to go to and wonderful people and tripawds like you all to talk to!

My heart is happy! This is excellent news! I love it!!! Keep on kickin' cancer's butt!
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Now this is a great way to start the week! Go Bailey! Your story gives hope to everyone fighting their own cancer battle. Together we're all kicking cancers butt.

So happy to read this! Way to go Bailey!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
