It is a Chinese herb mix that helps to stop bleeding.
Thanks so much for thinking of us! I had heard of this herb from the canine cancer yahoo group I belong to and many people there feel they've had success with it. I do think I can find it here, Taos is a very herb-friendly place, like Madison I would think. Thanks again for the information.
Beth
Beth with my beloved Tshuvah, 10 year old "TaosDog". Provisional diagnosis osteosarcoma on 6/10/10, amputation of left foreleg same day, firm diagnosis of hemangiosarcoma 6/24/10. Set free on 9/9/10. Treasured forever.

Beth,
So very happy for you that you and Tshuvah made it back home together. Such wonderful news about your sister and baby. What an amazing sister you must have. Congratulations on your niece - I'm sure she's just beautiful. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
I'm so happy to hear that you and Tshuvah had a good time on your trip and are now safe and sound at home. Keep enjoying every single minute you have with your sweetie... take lots of pictures... They will give youi great comfort one day...
Sending you all a big fat hug!!
Angel Jake and Wolfie's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
Beth, so glad you guys made it back. Don't these guys just amaze us. I know it is a bittersweet thing but I know how much it means to be home when that time comes. I agree with jakes mom about pictures, we could never get many "action" shots of Gus , he was so spontaneous that by the time you got the camera the event was way over, but I decided to buy a video camera about six weeks before he died and was able to get some video of Gus, and I will tell you that is priceless to me, it has helped me so much since he died, I just love to watch them, of course I wish I had more, but then we never imagined losing him that young. Cherish every hug, lick, wag, bark, poop on the carpet and anything else she does. Hope all goes well for your sister also, paws up, Spirit Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
what an amazing story/journey....it is unreal that they can do chemo on a fetus...just amazing and what a blessing to have a healthy new baby and hoping your sis makes it thru this next process and comes out cancer free.
I love the story of the kitty going along....when I would get Magic up to go outside before I opened up the pet door again, OJ would wake up, go out with us, sit on the patio while Magic did his thing, walk back in, up on the bed, back to sleep. Until he died, OJ seemed to share a lot of Magic's time after the cancer diagnosis. Casper was starting to do the same thing when Magic went downhill and they both seemed to know that play time was over.
A story whose ending hasn't been written yet!!! I agree with Dan...these guys/gals just amaze us all the time
I, too, am glad to hear you are back home and also that things are going well for your sister and her baby. If you haven't already done so you might want to consider making a plaster of paris cast of Tshuvah's pawprints. The hospital did Emily's and I treasure them. Build memories in your heart.
Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
I'm so glad to hear your sister is doing well and your niece is great. That is a blessing!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
