Our book is due to get here tomorrow. I'm laying in a supply of kleenex in preparation.
Still, can't wait for it to get here!
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Oh my. I didn't think about the kleenex issue... I don't get mine until tomorrow, my mom had it delivered to her house and she is bringing it with her. Well, I have tomorrow off, going in for a "tummy diagnosis", that will give me all day to sob and hug the book to my chest. Sounds like a keeper 🙂
Elizabeth and Sammy
Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the right front leg 8/23/10,

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
You're going to like it freaky ears, cuz there are pics of me and I know you secretly have a crush on me!!! (I of course still have that special video you made for me, telling me how you like me a TON!)
I bet you ordered the calendar with me on it too!
Kisses!!!!
Abby

Announcements:
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
We just got ours! Hooray! Just in time for Abby's upcoming 1 year ampuversary and in time to give a copy to her onc (which Abby will pawtograph) at her appointment next week.
Looked at all the pics first. Then read Abby's page - of course. Got through that one w/ no tears - but then randomly opened to Chili Dawg's page. Sweet Chili Dawg. Going to have regroup before reading another page!
My sisters and I like to rate certain movies by the number of kleenex you need to get through them - as in, 'Oh, that's a two-kleenexer.' This book might be a 10-kleenexer by the time I get through it!
We will cherish our copy!

Hey ScAbbies:
I know something you don't know...I know something you don't know...I know something you don't know! And I aint gonna tell you! But let's just say that someone likes boats better than YOU! You'd be really crying if you knew what I knew!
Hey! You are supposed to be nice to Tripawd mamas and my mama is the one crying over that ol' book. I ain't doin' no crying. Personally, I wanted to eat the book, but Mama said I couldn't.
And I don't know what you think you are so smart about, but I bet you can't make ME cry! I am not the crying type. Now, my mama's another story. She's easy to make boo-hoo. Even if I just stub my toe, she's all 'oh, boohoo.'
So, bring it Freaky Ears. Try to make me cry.
Abby, but that's Tripawd Warrior Princess to you, Freaky Ears!

We just submitted our story and photos and waiting with bated breath to order our personalized copies.
What might be kinda cool is if you send a copy of the book around the country to all of the pups/pawrents included in the book, kinda like Barney, and then once it's all pawtographed, auction it off to raise money for the site... Just a thought...

MBBVP you're going to GET IT!
I like that idea about pawdographing it! Members could take a picture with the book too.
OK so who wants to get it started?

OH MY DAWG.... this book is just BEAUTIFUL! I received mine yesterday and I spent the entire night reading all the inspiring stories, admiring all of the precious pictures, and showing off all the pictures of the Queen to anyone who would look. There were several pups in there whose stories I never even knew! How wonderful! I even took the book to work to show all of my co-workers at the University of Michigan Cancer Center.
I was especially impressed with the outstanding quality of the book. I purchased the hardcover version, and it is so nice. Sure, just like everypawdy else, the (hoppy) tears were flowing as I read all the stories, and they were REALLY flowing as I turned the page to see handsome Max's beautiful piercing blue eyes. Max and Nova have a special connection as they were both members of the "November 5"... Cherry, Max, Tika, Nova and Trouble... 5 very special Tripawds who all had their amputations in November of 2008. Nova is the sole remaining survivor of this group, and continues each day to hop on as the team's Tripawd Warrior on earth, kicking cancer's butt in her dear friends' honor.
It was a wonderful decision to create this book, Jim and Rene. I can't wait for the next one!
Sue and Queen Nova
Dane Mom Sue at nova.tripawds.com and Mom to Beautiful Great Dane Queen Nova, a Blind Tripawd, who kicked cancer's butt from 11/08-03/13. The Queen is Spirit Nova now, but her legacy lives on here at Tripawds!
