We will be on the road with morning’s light. While we expect to have WiFi nearly every night, there may be many days between visits to the internet. So I hope that you forgive us if we are just a little late to an ampuversary party or expressing our sympathy at a loss of one of our members. Hum – Perhaps a better plan would be just to ban all losses while on our trip! Works for us!
This will be the first trip without either of our traveling companions in the back seat of the truck. One of the main reasons for getting the 5th wheel was to take them along during our excursions. It could never be a real vacation if we had to leave them at home. They both were excellent travelers and companions without compare. You will remember that so many of the photos in Cherry's "Short" Photo Tribute were centered on these trips including Yosemite, Teton, Yellowstone, and the coasts of California and Oregon. There were many more locations generating memories and Cherry had a good tale regarding last year’s trip to Yellowstone titled Cherry's seven month ampuversary.
At the end of the first day, we will stop and fill our trailer’s freezer with ice cream. I have already packed the chicken jerky treats and those magical biscuits. Without these items, it would not be our home-on-wheels.
I hope that you enjoy the Cherry-tripawds animation. This one did not take out my computer. Love to all the tripawds community. Without you, the world for me would be much darker and much bleaker.
Bob, Emily, Spirit Allie, & Spirit Cherry
LOVE Cherry's Tripawds! You're very creative.
I, too, vote for no losses while you are gone. That sounds like a great plan.
Bob, this will be a trying trip for you - the first without the 'kids'. I'm very glad you have the strength to go on, some folks wouldn't, and our fur children would not want us to change the things we do because they are no longer with us. Instead, Cherry will be proud that you are continuing the traditions.
Safe travels! We'll be here when you get back.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
We also love the animation! Nice!
How awesome you'll be traveling with ice cream - I'm right with you on that! When we evaluated colleges for our daughters we always had an ice cream requirement - it made looking at all the schools fun. And we're sure Miss Cherry is smiling her big smile for you. You brighten our day, too, Bob!
Happy and safe travels to you!
Holly and Holly's mom
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

YEAAAAY!!!! Bob, this is PAWESOME!!! Great job!!! OOOOOhhh we LOVE it!!!
Your hard work shows, this is BEAUTIFUL!!! Mister, you get a big ol' pat on the back and a WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! from all of us!We hope you have a beautiful trip to Yellowstone. I'm sure it will be emotional and bittersweet, but we know that the memories you have of your beautiful girls will fill your heart with so much love, it will make the journey special.
My Mom and Dad would love to go back there someday, but they aren't ready, the memories of my last days at Yellowstone is just too close to their hearts. Maybe your courageous journey will give them the courage they need to travel to this piece of heaven someday soon. The beauty of that place is just too magical not to go back to.Enjoy yoursef, relax and remember to listen closely for the sound of your girls and I, running free through the most beautiful place on earth. We are by your side, always.
Oh, and if you make it to the Old Faithfull Inn, be sure to have a toast with Three Legged Red for us OK?
Travel safe and we'll talk to soon.

I watched Spirit Cherry's photo tribute (didn't see this before) and the tears are just rolling - what a beautful tribute, what beautiful photos and what beautiful girls. Thanks for sharing this again. I hope you have a wonderful trip with Spirit Cherry and Allie by your side. Let's make it official - no losses while you are gone - the ban has started.
Safe travels and enjoy that ice cream too!
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
P.S. Love the Cherry tripawds animation! Very cool!
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Bob, your Cherry animation is just PAWESOME! I wish I was talented like you so I could do a Nova animation. I wish you and Emily safe travels this summer!
Sue and Queen Nova
Dane Mom Sue at nova.tripawds.com and Mom to Beautiful Great Dane Queen Nova, a Blind Tripawd, who kicked cancer's butt from 11/08-03/13. The Queen is Spirit Nova now, but her legacy lives on here at Tripawds!
Bob & Emily,
I pray that you will have a wonderful trip even though it will certainly be bittersweet.
The Cherry animation is so cute. I wish I knew how to do computer things!
Remember you carry all the girls in your heart, so they aren't really gone.
Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
Awesome, love the hop!

I hope you have a wonderful trip. I am sure there will be sadness this year without your fur babies but hopefully more smiles than tears as you remember all the good times you shared. Safe travels.
Jo Ann & Tasha
Tasha 8 years old, First cancer diagnosis 6/26/09, Last cancer diagnosis 9/26/09, Amputation 10/01/09, Loving our girl moment by moment.
Tasha lost her battle and became my Angel on May 4 2011. Forever in my heart….
I am sure that there are individuals that have wondered just what the heck do these people do during these trips? Do they actually sit around and watch water spurt from the ground? Just how boring is that?
The short answer is YES! However, I would like to direct this all the community to the recent article that appeared in the Boston Globe from a lady that Dad and Mom met on one of these trips. While there is a significant amount of "artistic" licence taken by Heather, the essence of this article is true. Dad assures me that not all the quotes are correct but that has no plans to sue. Dad did take me in last year to sit at the porch of the Lower Hamilton Store in the Upper Geyser Basin (Old Faithful Area), and I was able to watch many of the geysers with all his Geyser Gazer friends. The excitement when one of the rare or more unusual ones goes is well documented in the article. You can use this LINK to the article.
Once the weather clears, Dad says the he plans a photo of the ICE CREAM, jerky treats, and magic biscuits taken at the same spot as last year's photo just to show that they are here in our rolling home on wheels. Also, all the Geyser Gazer regulars have expressed how sorry they were that I had to move into spirit form. Some even sent cards to Mom and Dad before they left home. How they found out is beyond all of us. However, Dad carries me in his heart as we now watch all the action together.
Spirit Cherry
PS: Love the picture of Jerry in front of the Tetons. Spirit Allie and I loved visiting there and going to the Ranger Talks at Colter Bay.
