Tomorrow afternoon, sweet Zoe will become a Tripawd... Â
She's battling osteosarcoma -- we just found out last week -- going from thinking she was limping because of an old injury flaring up or arthritis to praying it was an infection to this current dx & hoping it's only in her leg.  It's hard to process because ... well because I don't know how to process it.  I'm trying NOT to think that it has possibly spread & just think positively (pawsitively)...  😉 Â
But I *am* worried too -- if it has spread, how much time will we have? Â
She is the bringer of much joy. Â So much craziness, but SO much joy. Â <3
Zoe and family, welcome. We send all our best for an uneventful surgery and a routine, easy recovery. Yes, it's worrisome, especially at a time like this in the world. But we are here for you so please lean on us whenever you feel it becoming overwhelming.
As for how much time...that's the question we all wonder and honestly, it applies to our lives whether cancer is involved or not. Nobody has an "expiration date" and nobody knows if they even have a tomorrow, so the important thing to do is to Be More Dog and follow Zoe's lead. I'm betting that you will find her to be more resilient than you ever knew, your bond will become so much stronger!
Please keep us posted on how today goes. I'm relieved that your vet clinic is doing surgeries this week, I was starting to fear that with the virus situation many osteosarcoma surgeries could be delayed. Whew.
Lotsa love coming your way. Your future posts won't ned approval so post away.

Yes, it is scary. My dog, Jake, goes for left front limb amputation this week due to a soft tissue sarcoma. We will all get through this together with each others support. Thank God for Tripawds...I look forward to following sweet Zoe's story.
