It has been 6 months since Tazzie's amputation so earlier this week she went in for xrays, bloodwork, and urine. I have tried to post this several times but keep getting error messages so I will keep it short.
Chest and leg xrays were clear (no mets) YAY!
Bloodwork normal.
Bladder infection (Pseudomonas, a bad bug) so I had to stop the Cytoxan. This can lead to a painful and bloody urine condition in some dogs. I will continue the Metacam and up the artemisinin to 300 mg every night.
She has gained 15 pounds so someone is on a diet and less cheese with her pills!
I am so glad that Tazzie continues to do well, but even if we had found lung mets I would still not regret our decision to amputate. She is so happy and playful, and still greets us with that big Mastiff smile every day.
Tripawds rule!!!!
