Today when Tasha's Dr. took her compression bandage off there wasn't any improvement at all. Her knee is very swollen but doesn't really seem to bother her. Tasha's dr is very puzzled by what is going on with her. He did ultra sound on her knee and you can see that there is something in the knee but he just doesn't know what. He talked of a tumor again but they way it looks and feels just doesn't think that is what she has. He feels like she possibly has blood clots in her knee. His recommendation is for surgery to go in and see what is going on and get the knee cleaned out. Tasha will have surgery on Thursday. He said she will come home in a bandage very much like the one she wore last week but with a splint so she will be able to be mobile.
Today on the way home Tasha got her hamburger for being a good girl at the vet. ( she would have gotten it regards) Today wasn't the best day for me but for Tasha it was a great day, she got to go in the car, got extra attention, some extra pets and a hamburger. Tasha is now home and happy for now I can't really ask for anything better than having my girl here with me. Well maybe some extra prayers for Tasha.
Jo Ann & Tasha
Tasha 8 years old, First cancer diagnosis 6/26/09, Last cancer diagnosis 9/26/09, Amputation 10/01/09, Loving our girl moment by moment.
Tasha lost her battle and became my Angel on May 4 2011. Forever in my heart….
Extra prayers coming! All the way through Thursday for sure. I just signed on to see what happened today, I've been thinking of you and her all week. I was hoping for better news as I know you were. But, as you said, SHE had a great day. I love that about these kids. I swear God put them here on earth to be a tangible example of how we should live out lives to be happier humans. One day at a time, in the moment, the cup is half full, love unconditionally.
Give that girl a big old hug from me and Miles!

So glad that you posted the news, as I've been thinking of you all week! Sorry she has to have the surgery, but hopefully she'll be on the mend soon.
You both had a good day - Tasha rode in the car and got a hamburger. You got to take her home - and that is priceless!
Sending more pawsitive thoughts & prayers your way...along with many, many golden hugs!
Cathy
More good thoughts for the very special, Tasha. This really is easier for her than it is for you. We are the ones who stress out. They just keep on going!
I hate she has to have surgery, but am glad the Dr wants to get to the bottom of the problem. I shall have you both in my thoughts as you struggle with this new challenge. Keep the faith, Jo Ann. Your tripawd family is with you.

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Love Never Ends
I'm just catching up and am so sorry to read about Tasha's latest challenge We are saying lots and lots of extra prayers and hope that she has a speedy recovery. I know you must be so worried - I can only imagine. How wonderful that she wanted to eat a hamburger and ride in the car - all good signs that she's on the road to recovery. Please keep us posted and let us know how she's doing.
Sending you lots of golden hugs and healing thoughts.
xoxo
Kami, Angel Mackenzie and Kobe
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Awww Tasha, surgery sucks!
BUT I think lots and lots of hamburgers are in your future!
Jo Ann, try not to worry too much. We are here if you need us before Thursday. (and after, of course!)
Go buy a celebration cake with lots of icing! Life always seems better after a piece of cake!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Mmmm.... Hamburgers are a yummy treat on the way home from a doctor's visit much better than a lolly pop we give the other kiddos!! lol Lots of pawsitive prayers and thoughts coming to Tasha and you I know it's ruff. Today I have so much things to do but insteady I just curled up on the couch with my Coco Bear just to take in some quality time.
