I am laughing out loud right now.  OMG! Thank's for that good laugh!!  I can not believe that Messenger Tazzie told Oslo's secrets!!  lolllllllllll

WARNING!!  WYATT RAY DAWG!!  PLEASE CLOSE YOUR EYES AND DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING!!

Oslo has indeed eaten many socks since his puppyhood.  I guess when they are bored, some dogs are destructive while others eat socks way-confused  When Oslo gets bored or annoyed because it's been raining for a couple of days so he did not get his daily walk, he has this habit to look for any object laying on the floor or on furnitures. Most of the time, he ends up with gloves or socks. (if there is nothing interesting enough, he goes in the bathroom and look for soft tissues.  Then he comes by us with that stupid looking-like-a-squirrel mouth fulled with whatever he has found.  knowing he has upsetted us but most important "has gotten our attention" , he then usually spits the thing in front of us.  But sometimes "sit happens" and he is quick enough to swallow it. way-confused

Have a nice Easter week-end everyone!!  laugh We are leaving for Oslo's kingdom in a few minutes. I guess it will be all muddy there!  I'll try to get pictures of Oslo's stylished brown fur

We tought we had reached the end of the "sock story" ... WRONG!!  I just do not know if what I am about to tell is believable. Honestly, I hardly believe it myself and we also feel ashamed about it.   But since you had the first half of the story, I think I must go on and tell you the second half.   Of course. we will ask Dr A. if all this is possible (maybe tazziedog will comment too ) ...

Sunday morning (easter day),  Oslo started to vomit at 5AM.  confused  He vomitted again and again until around 10am...when he throwed up an other sock!!!!...so we think he had eaten 2 socks (from the same pair) on March 22th...is that possible??  This time, it was more scary than last week because he got feverished, was shaking, and after the sock went out, he continued to vomit...nothing would stay in his stomach (not even water) For the first time in his life, he had no appetite at all for 24 hours. We are back home right now and he started to eat again today (we gave him only small peaces of food at a time, to not overload his irritated stomach) and he feels a lot better.

Honestly, how can a dog have 2  socks at the same time in his stomach? is it possible?? Even for that long???

Suzanne  and Oslo (sock eater, less proud than before blush)

OMD what is he going to throw up next? A television! That boy is almost as crazy as Wyatt Ray !

Maybe he just didn't want you to go crazy looking for the other sock, so he ate the pair? Or maybe he was just extra hungry?

Silly boy!

Please let us know if he's OK, OK? Wow!

OMD that Oslo is a crazy one. I had no idea. I would have been beside myself with a dog trying to vomit (torsion would have been my first thought over and over and over again). Well, glad to hear Oslo is a professional when it comes to ingesting and ejecting socks. Why on earth he is eating these socks? Well, you'll have to explain that to us. Could this be a new sock that he ate this weekend?

I guess you didn't get to enjoy Easter dinner very much, did you?

Does Oslo Daddy have any socks left in his drawer? I think Oslodaddy needs to get a locked set of drawers in which to keep his socks - or maybe he can go barefoot now that it is spring.

Wow Oslo!  What are you going to eat next, the kitchen sink?  At least he ate a pair of socks, that way you didn't have to look for the mate for one.

In all seriousness, Oslo may be attracted to the smell of dad's feet, if he's eating dirty socks.  If he's eating clean ones too, then it is a wool chewing problem and Dad needs to clean up his act or he's going to have some very expensive socks on Oslo's plate.

Keep us posted on how he's doing!

Our "little" monster is back!! big-blink  I am so happy to see Oslo be "pain in the ass" again!  (whining to go take a walk, whining to have his meal, whining to playwith us, whining for everything!! His energy level is at the top )   In addition to that, Dr A. just called to tell us that his WBC is normal!!   So we are scheduled for the 6th (and last) round of carbo on next Tuesday!!

By the way, I asked him if it was possible that Oslo kept the socks in his stomach for that long.  The answer is without a doubt "yes".  In the past, he has seen a dog having an oven glove in his stomach for over a month!! OMG!!  An oven glove!!  way-confused

Thank's again everyone for the laugh and support!!  Let's hope it is the end of the socks story!!

Hey we are too! Speaking as a dog who likes to eat anything and everything, I would like to say that I'm glad Oslo is doing fine. Tell him next time he should try eating something a little tastier, like garbage.

Mmmmm....garbage.
