Everything you guys have said here is exactly what I tell OTHER people who are feeling down... I"M not supposed to be the one feeling down!
But I do want to thank you for posting, because clearly I needed a reminder. And while I don't want to further hijack your post, I DO want to show you this, because it shows quite clearly that I really have nothing to be whining about:
This is Kermit at 5 weeks post-amp, and after we had been playing like this for about 15 minutes already:
Time for me to get back to reality & have a little (LOT OF) gratitude, dontcha think?
Thank you again for the reminder... 😉
OMG, he is funny! And not going to give up at all. That is some serious tug-o-war you guys have going on there One of my favorite things about pitties is their exuberance and love for life and fun...and kermit definitely looks like he has it in spades. <3

Kermit really looks so hoppy in that video! You both do. Talk about seizing the day!
Megan, may we share your wisdom and insights in a Tripawds blog post? Your thoughts are too beautiful to get lost here in this discussion, I would love to share them with more folks out there.
I couldn't agree more with everything you said. Accepting death is not wanting it, it's not beckoning the grim reaper, not one bit. Accepting it gives us the power to take today by the horns and make it the best it can be! It's kinda like how my Momma loves the Dia de los Muertos calacas skeleton people. People who don't understand this Mexican tradition see decorated skeltons as macabre, but in reality it's about celebrating life, and the loving legacies that our friends and families left with us once they moved to the great beyond.

Absolutely! Share away. I came here to learn and to share.
And tell your Momma that Dia de los Muertos is a most beautiful, wonderful tradition, and we wish more people celebrated it. Our physical lives are so short, compared to how long our memory and impact lasts.

Thank you for your approval Megan. We'll put it in the blog, can't say when it will run but it will soon hopefully.
