Hey all, apologies i didn't pop back on with updates since i last posted but here are a quick fire 3 points!
- Ronnie recovered like a champ from his TPLO in September and is completely back to normal, YAY!
- Ronnie had a scan in January and is still cancer free and will be coming up to 3 years post amputation in April, YAY!
- Ronnie's back left leg has now gone and we had a TPLO on that yesterday and he's now recovering, BOOOOOOO!!!
Thank god the insurance renewed in December so they are covering about 75% of the TPLO surgery with me just left paying around £1k!
He's back home this morning and recovering well, having gone through this before I'm a lot calmer this time as i know what to expect and it will be a quiet few weeks while he recovers from surgery before we start the rehab process again.
All in all he's still ronnie the rocket and doesn't want to stay still and while it seems like he's gone through a lot, he just powers through, he's so active and happy 99.9% of time that i will happily keep taking care of what needs to be done as long as he can bare the short spell of discomfort for lots more happy years ahead.
HOLY MOLY!! GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY!! Talk about an update. WOW!! WOW!!!
First of all..SPECTACULAR NEWS on his xray update!!! Over the moon hapoy every checked out just brilliantly!!!! 👏👏👏 So inspiring to hear he's coming up on three years and showing everyone what's possible!!!
And speaking of inspiring....one TPLO in September and then the other one four months later???? Talk about a Tripawd RockStar with a RockStar hooman...true champions, both of you!!! 👏👏👏
While it's still a kick in the gut to have to go thru another surgery a second time, a bit less stressful the second time around. I had least had a year inbetween Frankie's two....but four months...OMD!!!!
Now you know what you forgot, right???? And even tho you jave your hands full, no excuses for not posting pictures of Ronnie!!! We all adore him and he makes us smile everytime we see a pictire.

YAY RONNIE! Every time we hear news about you, we do a hoppy dance and celebrate! You are such a rock star, and I'm so happy that you conquered the TPLO surgery not once but TWICE! AND a THREE YEAR ampuversary too? WOW!
You are everything that life on three legs represents and you are a true inspiration. If I had to think of three words to represent you it would be hope, resiliency, joy!
At some point I'd love to interview you guys about the rehab process. Time to do another article about how Tripawds can recover from remaining leg surgeries.
Thank you for sharing this terrific news with us! Don't forget to add some photos, we want to smooch you on our screens!

Hey all!
we’re approach 4 years post amputation, post 2 TPLO surgery’s, and Ronnie just had his 9th birthday which I never thought we would see, and the little guy is just powering through like a rock star!
we have a 6 monthly scan Monday just to make sure all is good but Ronnie is sliding into old age and beating all the odds that are associated with osteosarcoma.
I will pop back with an update Monday but I just wanted to let everyone know what is possible and that being a tripawd is just the start of a new awesome life, not the end of being a happy dog, just finding new ways to be happy!
hop on everyone x
WOW! You guys we are so so so happy for you and Ronnie! What a fantastic pupdate to see today. We often tell people that they shouldn't get hung up on those osteosarcoma life expectancy statistics, and Ronnie is another great example of why they shouldn't.
Good luck with the scans on Monday, we'll keep our paws crossed that he continues to show the world how pawesome life can be on three!
Oh and if you have any photos or IG pics you want to share please do! We'd love to see him!
Checking in on our Miracle Boy Ronnie!!!
And I would be more than happy to post some pics for you. I'll PM you my email of yoi's like to send me some photos.
Hugs

Hey all,
Just wanted to check in and say Ronnie is still doing great and kicking along, no further ops or treatment needed since his last TPLO and we moved house to a place with a big garden and much easier stairs for him to handle a few years back and he's doing great.
We're 5 years post amputation now and he is coming up to his 11th Birthday in March having been diagnosed when he was 5 years old so he's officially lived longer as a Tri than he did with 4 legs!
I've been so incredibly, amazingly lucky with him that his diagnosis wasn't the sentence we initially thought it was and he has lived an amazing life since and continues to do so. I just wanted to pop on and give hope to anyone who is going through what we did near 5 and a half years ago now.
Awwwww Ronnie! You are such a remarkable, hoppy hero! Congratulations on continuing to beat the odds. Your story is what we hope everyone will experience and we are THRILLED about more great news from Team Ronnie!
LOVE your tattoo by the way, that is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! i really appreciate it and thank you so much for sharing the story on the Instagram, really hope the positivity of Ronnies story can provide some comfort for those newly going through the same thing.
I think reading back through all 13 pages of this thread is like a diary of the trials and tribualtions one will go through during the journey toward 'tripawdness'
