Hi guys,
Last time Sadie & I went to the vet (for a lung met check), your positive thoughts and prayers really helped us out. Again, I'm asking for you all to think about Sadie today. For about 2 days now, I can't get Sadie to walk hardly at all. I lift her with the harness, and her back legs just give out. On the rare occasion that she does walk, she will try not to use her right back leg. It's really hard for me to watch my 3 legged baby limp! It's been over 24 hours since she has urinated, but she is eating and drinking normally ( I have to bring her food to her, but she went to the water bowl herself today and drank a lot. She seems happy and still wags her tail, and she seems alert (still barks like a crazy one when she hears the "Weeeeeweeeeweeee!!" commercial. The vet said to add tramadol because she is at the max Rimadyl dose. I hated to do that, but I gave her one instead of two, and she didn't seem too loopy. It doesn't seem to be helping. We go to the vet tomorrow. He metioned giving her amantadine to help "re-set" the receptors in her body for the Rimadyl to work better (ie, she's built up a tolerance to the Rimadyl) I sure hope it works. Anyway, sorry to go on and on, I just wanted to ask for your thoughts and prayers today. You guys have a great track record so let's keep it up!
Hugs and big sloppy let me lick your face off Sadie kisses,
Lisa and Sadie Bear
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Oh Sadie Bear! Don't spook us like this!
I 'm so sorry. I'm rushing out the door this morning...but i had to drop a note to say we are here for you!
Tell Sadie we have lots of plans in the future!
Please, please let us know what the vet thinks. Maybe it's just a muscle strain.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
So sorry Sadie's having a tough time. This must just wrench your heart out.
Sending heaps and heaps of pawsitive thoughts and good wishes for Sadie Bear!

Lisa and Sadie Bear,
Thanks for the "heads-up" so that we can send even more thoughts and prayers your way today. I know how hard it is but keep as positive an attitude as possible for both of your sakes. I would be difficult to list all the times that Cherry had a down turn after she finished her chemotherapy. While I was sure that the end was approaching quickly, she would rally and we would be off to another magical recovery. We LOVE rallies and will send all possible thoughts for a Sadie Bear rally.

Chloe and I will be sure to send your Sadie Bear some pawsitive thoughts today! We too hope she just strained a muscle and needs time to recover as opposed to being something more serious.
Crossing our fingers and paws for you!

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Sadie, you've got lotsa Tripawd love on your side, we're all rooting for you and hope you start getting around like your old self again. Please let us know what the vet says OK?
Meanwhile, hope these two "Weeeeeeees!" get you moving around!

Sending lots of postiive thoughts and prayers out for you and Sadie today!
Chance, our 9.5 year old Rottie/Shepherd mix was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in his left front shoulder. In July of 2010, we planned to proceed with the amputation, but lung mets were discovered. Chance reached the Rainbow Bridge October 1, 2010, just a few weeks after his 10th birthday.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I really did feel everyone's strength today. This morning, Sadie was unable to stand on her own long even long enough to urinate (she just relieved herself while laying on the floor) I moved up her vet appointment and took her in about noon. Unfortunately, it was what we feared the most. Dr. Yach examined Sadie's right hip and knee and took x-rays. Her hip showed a lot of arthritis, and was tender to the touch. Then he showed me the x-ray of her knee and there was a very visible tumor, probably osteosarcoma. Although this area wasn't as painful to her as her hip, it was obvious that no matter how we would treat her she was never going to be able to get up, walk, or even stand on her own. So, at about 3:45 this afternoon my Sadie Bear joined all the other brave and beautiful tripawds at the rainbow bridge. I honestly couldn't have asked for a more peacful journey for her. She had a hamburger last night, and another one this morning. She enjoyed a peaceful car ride into Vegas (I stopped along the way to take our picture). Then after her x-rays, she spent a couple hours visiting everyone at West Flamingo Animal Hospital (she LOVES to visit people). Once we decided it was time, I lay down next to her and got the privledge of telling my beautiful girl just how much I love her and how much she means to me. She passed peacefully and was 100% Sadie right until the end.
Rest peacfully sweet pea.

My deepest deepest condolences.
Kami (Mackenzie's mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
