We're spending our last night before surgery snuggling with Piper! My daughter also wanted to do a photo shoot with him 🙂
As you can see....he's loved very much 😉
Oh and we made our first post to our BLOG! http://scrappin.....pawds.com/
We'll update again tomorrow after he's out of surgery. Sadly (but probably fortunately with my work schedule), we wont get to bring him home until Thursday. We'll be sure to update again then too!
what GREAT pictures!!! paws crossed for successful surgery and speedy recovery!!
charon & spirit gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
OH MY DOG! He is absolutely a cutie pie!!! Will be thinking of you guys!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Cute pics! Looks so snuggy in the bed!
Will be thinking of Piper tomorrow. Definitely keep us posted. Sending pawsitive thoughts for successful surgery!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Thanks for the sweet photos of Piper and your daughter! Around here a lot of people say "if only love could heal," and it's what I thought of seeing those pictures. Piper would be completely well because he's completely loved.
You will have so many people thinking about Piper tomorrow and wondering how the family's holding up. Even if you have no real news, please give us a quick update if you can. We get pretty concerned on surgery day. Piper's about to become a tripawd and that's a big deal.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Thanks Shari 🙂
Your post choked me up. Yes he is very loved...Piper is actually Katie's dog, but he sure is a mama's boy too 🙂
I'll definitely update everyone once we hear from the Vet when he comes out of surgery.
Thanks to you all for keeping us in thought tomorrow.

He is adorable! It looks like he is quite cozy in his recovery bed...what a great spot to rest and recuperate.
Karen is right...I'm pretty sure time actually stopped on Holly's surgery day; definitely stay busy!
Good luck tomorrow, lots of pawsitive thoughts headed your way!

Diagnosed with possible synovial cell sarcoma of right front elbow 5/31/12. Amputation surgery performed 6/7/12. Final diagnosis of histiocytic cell sarcoma 6/11/12. Her soul and spirit were strong, her body was not...my little girl earned her wings 6/14/12. Cute! Cute! Cute!
Best wishes for a super easy surgery and recovery. Don't feel guilty about leaving him at the vet clinic, sometimes that really is the best place for a pup to have a good recovery period. They can get lots of rest, attention and care without feeling like they have to be the pack leader of their house.
We'll be thinking of you.

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...
