Shannon, my heart broke when I saw this, I'm really sorry. Rooney did so well, I know your grief must be tremendous right now. Cancer can be so mean and sudden and ... grr. It's just heartbreaking.
Rooney had the kind of life every dog dreams of. When times got ruff, you gave him a chance to prove that he could overcome adversity and he did, he rocked life on three, and he will always be a role model and inspiration for others. His spirit will always shine on.
Please lean on us, we are here for you and will be there to celebrate Rooney's life when you are ready. If you'd like to post some pictures, feel free to PM a link to me, or email, we'd all love to see some.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Oh Rooney, dear, sweet, adorable Rooney. The tears flow as I shake my head in disbelief. I'm so very, very, very sorry. This just breaks my heart.
Too.many of us know how grief stricken you are...and will be for a very long time.
Rooney will always be a Beacon of Hope for anyone concerned about whether Bulldogs can master the art of living life to the fullest on three legs!! Make no.mist about it, Rooney loved every single extended moment he got to be by your side! Six extra months of loving and spoiling in doggy hears equals over three years in human uears.
Jerry always reminds us that thise last few days were just a blink of an eye compared to the thousands and thousands of happy memories you and Rooney shared! That's what Rooney wants you to remember.
This journey is sooo intense on every level, and your grief will be equal in its intensity. You have been Rooney's steard 24/7 all his life, but especially these last six plus months. You don't ever get over it, but the happy memories do eventually push it further and further into the background. Promise. Roght .ow the void is too great to realize that. The lack.of routine with Ronney .makes your heart ache.
When you can, p@ease email Jerry some photos so you can share more.of Rooney's specialness with us. And boy oh boy is he ever so special!! We feel in love with him with the first post! .
Rooney really gained Rock Star status here! His life mattered to us and his legacy of determination and "Warrior status" will always have a positive impact!I
I can only imagine the ruckus at the Bridge.when Rooney showed up fit and happy and ready to frolic! I know he was bragging about what a great time he had with the humans he picked to share his life with!
Sending you all the love in the world..
