Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet. Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues. Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle. October 17: started having seizures. Taking fenobarbital for seizures. April 18: started prednisone.
BRAVO! It's so pawesome to see her again in all her glory! This video is FANTASTIC, you put so much effort into it and it shows. Every detail from beginning to full recovery is there, it is so helpful.
After her poor whining and panting during recovery (our Wyatt Ray was VERY concerned when he heard that!), I just had a big smile on my face throughout it all, she is AMAZING!
And so are YOU. Had no idea you could get FitPAWS rehab gear in Iceland. Good job Mom, she is so lucky to have you. Keep it up, she is going to live a long, healthy life.
Love the soundtrack too. YAAY!
Thank you for the update. Come back soon, we've missed you!

By the way I just noticed your video is marked "unlisted". You might want to change that so it shows as Listed and available in search engines & YouTube searches, that way more people can see it and be inspired

THANK YOU ! I am just so proud of her, she has showed me how strong our pets can be. In Iceland we do not have rehab for dogs or any fit Paws so I have order everything from other countries for her and done all the rehab my self with her. I wish we had swimming pool or water walker in Iceland for her, we do only have a pool for horses but that is not heated so i do not think it would work.
Valkyrja did compete in Rally obedience 2 months after she lost her leg and got 100/100 points ! so she is doing really well in obedience, rally and she dose agility too ! so she is a star
Because it's often cold I just put a jacket on her to keep her muscles heated when we go out, then she has a back on track wrist wrap just to keep her legs heated when we do rally or agility.
After all this I decided to go abroad and study dog physiotherapist and will start the school in May.
Great video. Love the part where she rolls in the rocks. Must have been something that smelled really good. And what a great idea to study to be a dog physiotherapist. Talk about making Lemonade out of Lemons!

Active 10+ Pyr mix suddenly came up lame with ACL tear in left rear leg. Scheduled for a TPLO but final pre-op x-rays indicated a small suspicious area, possibly OSA, which could have caused the ACL tear. Surgeon opened the knee for TPLO but found soft bone. Biopsy came back positive for OSA. Became a Tripawd 9/18/14. Carbo6 with Cerenia and Fluids. Pain free and living in the moment. Crossed the Bridge on 7/12/15 after probable spread of cancer to her cervical spine. A whole lifetime of memories squeezed into 10 months. Here's her story: Eloise
