Hi Everyone~
My husband and I are so happy to have found this site for support and encouragement on our new journey. We have an amazing 12 y/o Parsons type Jack Russell, Max who we are crazy in love with. He was our baby before we had our baby. He is two weeks post rear leg amputation and doing great. It really has been more of an adjustment to us than to him. Though we still have so many questions, we are hoping to get some advice on.
Thanks
welcome max and family. your future posts won't require moderation. glad max is doing so well, those first two weeks can be rough. you might want to review the 'required reading list' noted above on the forums page. folks here are pretty friendly, and willing to help you with any questions/concerns!! we'd love to see some pictures of max!!!!
charon & spirit gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
Hi and welcome to Tripawds.
I had a little tripawd pug who was a rear amp- she was a tri-pug for almost 4 years. And there is another Jack Russel here named Rizzo, also a rear amp.
Why did Max need the amputation- cancer?
Let us know what questions you have.
Karen and the pugapalooza
Welcome to you and Max! That's good that he's doing so well.
Fire away with any questions! That's what we're here for. 🙂
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Oh! What a cute one!!! Max looks like a love!
What happened? We'd love to know more!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
