Hi Jennifer,
Welcome to tripawds. I hope Emma is continuing to heal.
As you can see you will find lots of good information and support here.
I have two pug girls. When Maggie had her amp my dad kept Tani for me for a few days so Maggie could get her balance a little before her sister came home. Tani has dominance issues and immediately knocked Mag over when I put them back together. After that it was OK, but Tani did knock her down occasionally on accident because she is pretty energetic. I would be careful putting the two of them together unsupervised at least until the stitches and or staples are out. Especially since they are pretty young and I assume Sam is pretty energetic.
Good luck with the healing process and like everyone I look forward to more pictures.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Gotta find the battery charger for the camera, then I will take some more pics. Emma and Sam do get supervised visits. They get to see each other through the fence on potty breaks and in the living room with my husband holding sam down (he's just so excited). I also put their kennels door to door at night so they can see each other. Before the accident they both slept in one large kennel We could never convince them to sleep seperately. Emma did refuse her medicine for the first time today. And her front paw is very sore too.
Thanks for all the support!

Welcome to tripawds! We all wish we didn't have to find this site, but it's such a blessing to have this wonderful community to help you through this. Holly had her surgery 3 weeks ago and is doing great. There's all sorts of great information on this site, not to mention tons of great people here to help you through. Be sure to post questions if you have them - there's usually someone who has already been there and can comment. I wish Emma the best of luck with her recovery. With her loving, caring family she can't go wrong!
Best wishes for a speedy road to playing with Sam again!

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

FYI: The Ruff Wear dog boots and sock liners we just posted in the Tripawds Gear blog can help keep pressure sores from developing.
