Hey everyone! Hope all is doing well.
I just received my first round of chemo on Sept. 26th and when mommy came to pick me up, the nurse could barely hold the leash I wanted to get to mommy so bad. The doctor told mommy that I maybe a little lethargic for a couple of days and also provided her with pills just in case of diarrhea or vomiting. So, mommy was all prepared for whatever takes place. Little do they realize that I am a tough doggy. Again, mommy slept on the floor with me to make sure I was OK. I liked that! Got to snuggle up really close to her and smiled at my brother and sisters who did not. TEE-HEE! When we got up on Saturday, I wanted to play and eat! No slowing me down. I also went to get my stitches off as well. The doc said that I am doing really well. I celebrated my new freedom by playing with my daddy around the pool. YAY! No more radar dish around my neck!
So far so good. No problems with the chemo at all. Just enjoying my freedom again.
Lots of woofs and licks to all!
Bandit and Mommy
This is most excellent to hear! That's so sweet that you sleep on the floor next to Bandit, just in case. I did the same thing when I little wirehaired-dachshund came home from surgery. I finally learned that it's best to own an inflatable mattress during those times, because the floor was as hard as a rock! I'm so glad Bandit is doing so well.
