The first biopsy was needle and reflected spindle cells. The pathology report agreed with the spindle cells but was not conclusive on sarcoma. That is why we are doing an punch biopsy on Monday. My vet feels confident it is sarcoma but we all want to positive report from the pathologist before we amputate.
Midnight is not limping and is continuing to jump to her favorite places. I had her in for her annual shots when the vet found the lump. My vet moved her leg all around and Midnight showed no discomfort. I'll ask Monday about anti-inflammatory drugs.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Glad that sweet girl isn't hurting. She's obviously a very determined and spunky kitty and that's a good thing!
Hugs!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Oh OK. I like that you have many big brains working on her case. Monday can't come soon enough I'm sure. How great that she's got so much spunk right now!

I always say this happens to the sweetest of souls! Just try breathing and stay positive easier said then done but try.
See what the biopsy comes back as and go from there.
I know its horribly scary and very sad, but remember no matter what comes back its doable! If Midnight has to have his leg amputated know recovery is no picnic but after that things will get back to a new normal! Hang on to that and know your not alone and kitties do get along very well on 3 legs!
One day at a time is all we can all do so hang in there!
Stay positive for you and for Midnight ! It takes a lot of retraining of the brain !
Keep us posted
Hugs to you both and we will be hoping and praying for the best outcome for Midnight !

Our Vet is the best. She is very confident that if she amputates Midnight will be cured of this cancer. My husband is having a harder time right now than me. I've directed him to this website and I'm hoping that will help. I'm just so glad she is not hurting right now.
I'll let you know what we find out later this week.
Im so sorry I continue to call Midnight a she😬 Have your husband watch some videos of the tripawd kitties getting around .
I believe that will help him! Thats the best part if taking the leg means no cancer and that will help you get thru!
Purrkins was not limping with his lump until we had a biopsy done then he did favor the leg. Purrkins was a low grade and believed to be curative by taking the leg also. Cancer doesn't have any rules but we are holding on to that and will enjoy everyday day we have with our sweet man!
We didnt use to have all these options and we have to be grateful we are now finding the cancer and can do something about it.
So glad you have a great vet that will make all the difference and proving to be already

You're right, it is terribly sad, and you're not alone in feeling that. But SO good that the vet is optimistic about outcome following amputation (if needed). I was a proper mess for a solid three weeks (one pre, and two post op). Today I found myself feeling guilty because things today were like a normal busy day pre-all this mess. Which meant my Harry didn't get much attention beyond a cuddle when I came in the door, and food....but he's fine! He pretty well is back to normal! He had a good little play on the carpet while I worked away on my laptop on the couch and then went to nap on my bed.
I cannot stress how much I cannot BELIEVE how okay he is, and how quick this whole things has gone (at least in hindsight). I'll never say it's been easy. There were definite times when I felt the "oh my god, what have I done to him?" and lots of worry, and sadness...lack of sleep...stressful practicalities for a while... but it's only been 3/12 weeks and I feel none of that now...ok. There's still some worry and the very odd bit of sadness...but that is ALL me, and not him at all. HE's doing great. And I'm confident that Midnight will get there too, if you need to amputate.
If so, he'll be exactly one month behind my little guy.
I agree that it's a good idea to read the happy blogs of successful and happy tripawds when you're feeling anxious about the whole thing to begin with. That helped me loads.
This was the first one I found :http://cldavis......pawds.com/ and Fang looks lots like my old man (on a diet) so I made a connection there I think. And he just seems to content in his pics!

And Fredo, who is a rear-leg ampukitty and so maybe more comforting for you: http://alfredo......pawds.com/
Well done for advising your husband to pop by here, as well. Point him to the blogs, too, if you haven't already! And be thankful you have each other for support through all of this. I think doing it alone, far from family, sent me into an early mid-life crisis! 😛
Lots of love and sympathy coming your way. Hang in there.
Sedning pawsitive energy, alon with extra hugs to our entire kitty families!

Wishing you both all the best for the surgery. You will be in my thoughts.
