That's a perfect description Christine.
Lori I totally get that. It's those memories of the times you shared that tug at your heart and bring up so many emotions. We just have to ride them out the first time we go through them, with plenty of kleenex.

Yeah, it also hit me today that I no longer have to put my guests' shoes up on the stair railing so that they can find them when they leave. He never chewed them, just drug them around. Not sure if that is a Lab trait in general or a TY trait. The exception on the chewing was my one daughter's spiky heel dress shoes. He must have trashed 30 pair before she learned to put them away. As I go through pictures, I am noticing some kind of shoe in almost all of them. His other trait that I will miss is when I would stand in my kitchen and talk with someone, he would sit right up beside me and lean in against my leg. How I would like to feel that again. I would pet his silky ears and squeeze him up to me. miss him so!!
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Tonight I am remembering some of the things that Ty has eaten that were not exactly dog food, sorry I keep posting, maybe I should start a blog. Just remembering some of the entertains antics he performed seems to help me process my grief. Anyway, 1dog bed, 30+. High heeled shoes and more than one bag of wrapped chocolate candies, some undies and cat poop( I think this was secretly his favorite delicacy) yuk! I would find litter strewn and telltale traces on his chin. A pair of glasses that belonged to the dog sitter. The chocolate he shared with Chandler. They both threw up candy and wrappers for hours. He actually had to spend a night at vets for eating the bed. He passed it without surgery and got to come home. Actually in hindsight, he probably ate Mr. duck, I couldn't remember what had ever happened to him. Ty kept us on our toes, in stitches and Forever in Love.

Lori! Please keep posting! Whether you need to post to just get through the next minute, or if you feel like writing about a wnderful "Ty Story"! We all love hearing about Ty!
Well now, Ty has quite the appetite for a differentkind of "junk food" than Happy Hannah! Yeah, they share their love of chocolate, and catpoop, but Happy Hannah drew the line at man made materials.....clearly Ty had no such line!
Sendingyou so much love Lori! Hope Ty comes to you ina dream real soon!
Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Yeah, you could see how silky his ears were in all his photos....he just lookes silky all over!

Oh Sally, he was. Thank you for noticing. But the ears, they were the best and he did not mind them being played with. My fingers ache to feel them again Oh this is getting sad, that needs to go in my other post, this is his memory place. the place where I introduce my crazy, funny guy.

Oh, just emptied my bathroom trash. I had to get cans with lids because Ty would red them out all the time. He would only eat the tissues. (another non food he enjoyed) He would just get stuff out to say he was retrieving it I guess. So many memories, so many reminders that life is not the same. Thank you for listening. If I write too often, someone please tell me. I may start a blog for him just to keep his memory alive. He deserves not to be forgotten. I feel like that is what everyone thinks I should do, just forget and get on with things. He was and still is important to me.

OK, I am officially a computer dummy! I have tried fro an hour to create a blog page for my boy. I want him to have his own page with a big picture across the top. I have entered the info over and over and I either get the message, only lowercase letters or I cannot read the thing on the bottom to prove I am human. Maybe I am not???? Help, someone. I want to write his story, complete with how we got him etc. It may take while to get it all down, but I think a blog would be a great place to compile it all. Just not sure what it is I am doing wrong. I feel like I am letting him down again because I am to silly brained to create his blog Lori and Angel-dog TY

Yeah, when it comes to technology, I pretty much am. Sorry I gave up before I got this message. I cannot figure out what to put for the site domaine. If I let it blank , it asks for something. If I put something in, it says use only lowercase letters and numbers.mI am not sure what it wants. At least I can read the text at bottom now, as it is all numbers. I have never written a blog before, so maybe that is why I am having so much trouble.

OK, memory for today. I have made it about 18 hours without crying. (record) The memory I had today is of Ty giving me the biggest BOO! ever. He an di both knew that the underground fence only kept him in when he wanted to stay in. He would just take a fast running start and jump over the line. One of the things he would take the buzz for was to be with me. (before you think I am cruel for the fence, please remember that I almost lost him after he was hit by a car at one year old.) That is a story for another day. For that reason, I always tried to make sure he was inside, if I went walking anywhere without him. We had, had like 3 solid days of rain , my husband was out of town and I thought I would get some pictures of the flooding to send him. I really needed to get outside for a bit. I guess I had forgotten to make sure he was inside. I was walking in the woods, just kind of taking it all in when I hear this thundering run behind me. I stop dead in my tracks and am afraid to turn around....bear, crazed deer?? I was sure both dogs were insideNo, just TY running full force to catch up with me. He then proceeded to run around and splash through all the water that was there. I got pictures on my phone, but it was like 2 phones ago I would love to have them.

Awww what a gorgeous scene of Ty running with all his strength! I'm sure he's doing just that now somewhere in doggie heaven.
We'd never think you're cruel for a fence you're using to keep your dogs safe.
