Hope has been flying under the Tripawd radar! And the monkeydogs have already started attacking her! (okay, just my monkeydog)
So, give a Tripawd shout-out to our new member Hope!
My golden, Hope, was diagnosed with fibrosarcoma of the paw three years ago. Early on, she had traditional surgery to remove the mass, but the lump always came back. We found a wonderful holistic vet who was able to use Eastern medicine to keep the tumor in check for most of those 3 years. Recently, holistic care lost out to the cancer and her leg was amputated at the shoulder on Friday (6-17-11).
I joined this group to learn how I can assist her through the healing process and help her maintain a good quality of life.
Golden retriever, approx. 9 yrs. old (she was a rescue, so we don't know her exact age)
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Welcome Hope!
You are gorgeous! And you can certainly hold your own with those Monkeydogs!

Welcome Hope! Hope is always welcome around here!
Don't let those silly Monkeybutt dogs bother you.... The AMBF (anti Monkeybutt force) keeps them in check! Abby is a proud AMBF member.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Thank you to all my new Anti-Monkeydog friends for your kind words! You are all so pawsome! Together, we will show those monkeydogs who rule--especially the big-eared one, the Pink Fairy, who is apparently the leader of the pack. Let's get out there and kick some monkeydog butt!
hope, welcome to asylum.... glad you are doing well after your surgery, we look forward to hearing more of your story!!
charon & gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
Hope, any dawg who looks that cool in shades must be a genuine rock star!
Why so shy, silly girl? Speak up! As you can see, the squeaky monkey gets the attention!

Oh sure! Throw out the big ol' welcome mat for someone that wears disguises; makes fun of someone's good looks and THEN makes up nasty names!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not a Pink Fairy monkeyboy! I may prance a little when I walk but that's because I walk on my tippy-toes!!! (it makes me look taller, that's all!)
Good Evening Friends and Twinkle Toes,
Today was soooooooooo tiring! I had back-to-back photo shoot which includes new nail polish to match each outfit, so I couldn't smudge them by texting. Whew! I'm just dawg tired tonight! I signed so many pawprints to fans that my mom is massaging my pads right now; dad is blogging for me. Yes, I might be a little pampered, but Buggs Bunny you should that my paws are registered as lethal weapons, so watch it!
