Hi Destiny and family, welcome to the club nobody wants to join! We're glad you found us through, we are here to help however we can. You sound like you have a good, upbeat attitude. This will take you far as you both learn how to live life on three legs.
Have you checked out Jerry's Required Reading List ? This will help you so much in your journey and answer many of your questions. But of course we are also here to help too. Take her recovery day by day, don't try to do too much too soon, and life will be good!
Let's see some pics. 11 years old and Destiny is really like royalty around here. We love senior pups!

Hi destiny! So glad to hear your recovery is going well. Recovery is such a hard time for so many. It takes about 2 weeks for them to truly get back to being who they always were, and to completely adapt to their new normal. You are making great progress it sound like.
We love staffies, and pitties, in our house. Duke is a 7 year old AmStaff mix and Emmi is a 2 year old AmStaff/Lab mix, and of course the beautiful Trouble the tripawd was an American Pit Bull Terrier.

Welcome, Destiny! It sounds like you're doing really well. How wonderful! But don't forget, since this is new to you and you have a new "new", take it easy. You don't want to over exert yourself while you're recovering and building new muscles. In the meantime, lots of wiggles and wags!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
