Oh bummer about the pink eye but that's good Luna is doing well. I'm also curious about two weeks, are you sure you didn't mean two days? Just wonderin.

Murphy was in the hospital for three weeks, but that was in the period between his accident and the amputation. He did come home the day after the amp. If Luna is to be there for two weeks, I would suggest that you (and the rest of the family) try to set up some sort of regular visiting hours, so she doesn't feel that she has been left behind.
Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel...and the Labradork
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Luna is coming home tomorrow. I think most concerned that she comes home well healed no risk of further infection. She is doing great. Having Koda And Mr.Kitty and The 11 month old baby in the household must have also played a part in the decision for two week stay. Everyone is healthy at home now. So much focus will be on Luna adapting at home. Thank you for continued good thoughts and advice.
Oh that's fantastic! What a great day it will be!
As for advice, well, just make sure that your home is Tripawd-proofed (i.e., no slippery floors, staircases blocked off, etc), that she has a safe place to chill out and recuperate, and that as excited as she'll be to get home, that you guys don't let her overdo things and wear herself out. Remember it takes time and proper core-strengthening exercises (see the Tripawds Gear Blog ) to build up the stamina she needs to get back to where she was. Be patient and know that she'll get there.
Really happy to hear she'll be reuinted with her people!
