Today was 21 days post-amputation- surgeon asked us to wait to de-cone until today due to Tess’ grooming/biting frenzies! She’s done great.- not obsessing on incision, just generally groomy 😀.
We’re so thrilled to see her happy and free. I could not have made it without your knowledge and encouragement. We are treasuring every day, and catching up on sleep, hopefully.

Tess in all her Tripawd glory! Her recovery has been smooth & uneventful since the cone and litter box snafus - she’s sturdy, sassy, moves/hops/jumps quite well, loves to run & “hunt” and our sweet bond is closer than ever. What an experience to walk this with her. Poignant. Every day is precious... just so thankful for her, and for your support.

I couldn’t agree more this tripawd journey takes our connection to another level! We are closer and love them even more than we thought possible! We become stronger together! Every day is a precious gift! Take one day at a time and love and spoil that girl every single day.

I don't know how I missed this thread but WOW!! You have had quite the experience, and pawsome support from the most wonderful people
I am so glad your baby's procedure went so smoothly and recovery was fantastic!
I would probably have been in a rubber room if I didn't have these beautiful people to help me through the time that we had with Huckleberry, they helped me stayed glued together, and present in the moment when we had tough times.
