I am so blessed to be celebrating Lily's one year ampuversary today! I am also so blessed to have found all of you who have supported, cheered, listened, cried, and just understood throughout the year. Thank you all for always being there.
My Lily has such a gentle, but strong spirit, and every day of the past year with her has been so special. I still watch her so carefully, hold my breath at the vet's during that long wait for the xray results, take tons of pictures, tell her how much I love her (all the time), pet her velvety fur, and cherish every single single second with her. I try so hard to be "more dog", and sometimes fail miserably.
I am just so overjoyed to have had her with me this past year!! She has been my shy greyhound, and she chose to open her heart to me when we adopted her. We could only see part of her face as she peeked around the door that first meeting, but she raced her way into my heart and for that I am eternally grateful.
Please have a special treat today in Lily's honor and join us in celebrating one year--Lily is getting ready to stuff her face, have plenty of scratchies, and surround herself with all her toys.
We are also remembering all the beautiful furbabies who have crossed the Rainbow bridge-may they run free like the wind. You are in our hearts.
So I say to my beautiful tripawd warrior Princess: You go girl-kick cancer's butt as hard as you can and for as long as you can!! I love you so much.

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Lily, congrats!! One year is a milestone and a half! I am so happy you are doing well, and showing everyone how to Be More Dog ! I hope you get lots of yummy treats today!!!

Lily is a beautiful TWP! Long may she kick cancer's butt!!!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Yay Lily! Congratulations on this HUGE one year ampuversary! You are a superstar, and our hero. It's an honor to have you in our community and we just love hearing about what you've been up to.

Happy Ampuversary Lily! May you have the finest treats in the land and all the ear-scratchies you can tolerate! One year is a big deal and I am so very proud you are fighting on!

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
Lily, you are an inspiration to us all. You will let nothing keep you down. Way to go...... hugs and kisses

One year is one of the BIG milestones. Way to go Lily (and mom)! We have a local greyhound rescue and I love seeing the dogs. I hate that they have to be in the rescue, but they are so beautiful and graceful.
