Thank you all for the words of encouragement. It's so hard to know if you are making the "right" decision in these situations. Everyone here has been through so much heartache and worry, it's great to have a community that understands what we are going through. I suspect we will worry about cancer for the rest of his life but hopefully we have many more years together. Giant hug from me to all of you! I am planning to work up a blog for Roscoe in the next few days. I think it might be helpful to others looking for answers as well as a good place to post a bunch of pictures!Â
Over the past few days Roscoe has really seemed to be feeling better. Getting back to a pretty normal dog. He is still having phantom limb outbursts about 2-5 times a day but that is pretty much his only remaining symptom. He got to chase a ball for the first time in months the other day. He reunited with some of his park friends yesterday and did some one legged play bows and was running around like a nut. And this morning went for a short hike in snow (which I was a bit nervous about and after about 30 secs. realized he was just fine) and sniffed deer hoof prints and generally seemed very happy and didn't want to stop. Hoping he just continues to get better and better.Â
GRRRRREAT UPDATE!!!! 🙂 🙂
Chasing his ball, romping in the snow, playing with other doggy. pals...such great news!!!
I look forward to pictures and his blog! Roscoe is such a spectacular dog!
Hugs!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Great news! Â Sounds like Roscoe is well on his way to getting back to normal! Â And good proof that dogs do not have any body image issues post-amp.
