Just curious...can you computer people see the first two videos I ppsted of Happy Hannah barking at the lawn mower? My tavlet screen says..."plug in is needed to display this content". I transferred them from photobucket. It was wonderful for me to revisit that vig dog bark of hers! She was sooooo gentle...I forgot she could scare people (and lawn mowers) with her barkway-cool

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Sticks? Did someone say Sticks? Jerry loved sticks a lot more than Wyatt but under the right conditions, Wyatt will go for it!

Awesome videos and dogs!!!!   Zeus tried to play with a stick yesterday. He was somewhat frustrated because he could not use his front limb to pulverize it maybe I'll have him watch your videos he enjoys dogs on TV

tz02 said What time are you serving waffles?

Most Saturday mornings! And whenever the mood strikes during camping trips. The only thing with those sour doughs is that we have to plan ahead and activate the start the night before. All of our dogs have loved them. This is almost the only "people food" they get, so it is super special.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Elly has been with us for only about 4 and a half months so I'm still figuring out her quirks.  As she gets more comfortable she is becoming more mischievous... but that is for another time.

Elly likes to collect treasures.  She finds things in the yard like small sticks and pieces of bark.  She finds things in the shop like pieces of cardboard, wood chunks, and pieces of plastic.  She stashes her stuff on a rug by the back slider, or in the living room in her sunny spot by the window, or on my bed. There was a stick on the bed for about a month that she collected after the tree trimmers were here. The pug(gle)s get bully sticks sometimes, if I don't watch her carefully she will stash a small piece in one of her spots.

The weird thing she collects are rocks.  I was worried about her chewing on them, but she doesn't chew on them like everything else she gathers. So far she hasn't brought them in the house, she keeps them on the rug outside the shop door.  The rock in the picture is one that I kicked off the walkway a couple times before I figured out she had claimed it as one of her treasures.

Such cute pics and videos!!!

Sally, sometimes Photobucket is just a beast about embedding videos into forums and other websites (remember their goal, like Faceborg's, is to keep you on their site). It's always best to embed YouTube or Vimeo videos.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was just thinking about how fortunate all of the dogs on this site are, even those who have passed.   They have great forever homes, and humans who love them so much to fight the fight with them, whether it is cancer or something else.  And the photos people post show such happy doggy moments - outdoors, playing in water, with sticks or rocks, at home with their family.  How great that this is what their lives are/were about!   Love and happy doggy moments.smiley

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.   Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.

Wherever they are, they are together.

What a wonderful topic to start!!!!  We deal with so much stress and sadness with surgeries, post-op care, cancer treatments, and letting our fur kids pass onto the Bridge that we sometimes forget about there antics and quirks that put smiles on our faces.

Leland was my Tripawd and when he was a pup hubby and I weren't sure if we'd have a house left.  He chewed up our carpeting in the basement to the point of having to pull it up and put tile down.  He chewed up hubby's recliner to the point of having to purchase another.  He chewed the skirting around one couch and chewed up the cushion on another.  Thankfully he grew out of this and came to love his green ball, kong toy with peanut butter, and femur bones filled with all sorts of yummy stuff to lick out of it...

Sadly, we no longer have Leland with us (he went to the Bridge June 2014) but we have Lucian our little hell raiser.

Lucian finds fun in anything.  He loves finding and shredding wood (sometimes I wonder if he's part beaver), he loves his kong ball (the black one that's the toughest they make), he loves chasing a garden rake or broom, he's a poop coneseiur (cat, deer, goose...it doesn't matter...ugh), he finished off the couch that Leland had started, he loves being a thief, and he loves his cuddles.  Here's some pics of him and his work....

Stealing a jacket...

Stealing mom's sun visor...

Finishing off the couch that Leland had removed the skirting from...

Chewing up the tail of dad's fox mount...

Having my own green ball (which I've learned how to destroy within minutes so now I only get the hard black kong balls.

And I just learned this winter that I have a blast chasing snowflakes

Sahana and her Angel Leland and Lucian too

Oh my Dog!! I have enjoyed each and every one of these posts! It's so wonderful to be able to smile through a read instead of having the tissues handy!

Speaking of sticks, Meesha and Melody think everything is a "stick". "Meesha, go get your stick!" She comes back with her blue squeak ball. "Mel, where's your stick?" She's comes back with her squeaky red donut.

stick = toy

Meesha has gotten into pulling up all the black weed fabric from the landscaping. When we first kept finding the black fabric all over the yard, we couldn't figure out what was going on. Then we caught her in the act. It's a good thing too 'cause the hub-a-dub wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't witnessed it himself. Otherwise I'm sure he thought it was me sneaking out in the middle of the night, tearing it up and throwing it everywhere.

The funniest thing that Mel does is when she wants to be a lap dog, she'll come up to the hub-a-dub and he'll tell her to turnaround. She'll then turn with her back to him and as he reaches down to pull her back into his lap, she will jump backwards, all 65 pounds of her. It's quite impressive!

Yeah Sally, I'll get a video some day.

xoxo

Harmony became a Tripawd on 10/21/14 (MCT). She left us way too soon on 11/1/14.

"We miss you so much; our love, our heart, our Harmony."
