Good morning. I am new to site and still quite perplexed by this whole situation. I would like to share a bit of my dogs quirkiness!! Zeus has always loved sticks. I am talking big sticks. We would walk around the neighborhood and he would find a BIG stick and carry it home. I actually have a few scars on my legs from these BIG sticks. Once at the park I asked him to go find a big stick and the picture shows just how seriously he accepted the challenge. Zeus actually chased me down the path with it. Thought I could throw it. Lol. Would love to hear of your pet's antics. It is good to focus on positive happy things. Have a great day. Theresa and Zeus ps picture would not upload. I will try again later it is a great one!
Ha haaaa!
Theresa!
Just how many more parallels are we going to have? Rottweilers, Zeuses, RNs, and carrying big sticks!!!
Yes my Zeus loved sticks the bigger the better! I didnt need to buy expensive toys that he destroyed in 2 seconds. It was always great after a big storm, like Super Storm Sandy, he would carry tree limbs and Im not kidding! He also loved red balls! He knew the difference in colors cause he had a blue ball too that lit up but he never took to it!
Great story! Lets keep it going!

...picture would not upload.
FYI: You cannot upload pictures directly to the forums. Here are detailed steps for adding photos to forum posts .
You can upload the photos to Zeus' blog, and then use the link in your Media Library to share them here. Or, post them in the blog and just share a link...if you need help, post in the Tech Support forum or send a PM and we can meet in the Chat.

I'll jump in and show a couple of videos. Murphy and Gus loved their sourdough waffles. They would sit in the kitchen drooling when we had waffles for breakfast. The video was taken on one of our many camping trips with "the guys".
The second video is of Murphy (and Gus) running on the beach at the mouth of the Columbia River on our first trip after Murphy was cleared to just be a dog. For those who didn't know Murph, he was on leash restriction pretty much for seven montage as he healed from his amputation and subsequent total hip replacement. This video is of "the happiest dog in the world."

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Yes! Sticks is a favorite of my collie Riley. The bigger the better! Max' favorite was always his orange and blue ball. After amp surgery we didn't let him chase it as much to save pivoting on that remaining back leg so he just carried it in his mouth. When Riley would come up to him with the stick in his mouth though he'd drop the ball and play tug with Riley on the stick to take it away. He was still stronger even after the amp and usually ended up with it. Riley would try to get it back for a while and then just go find himself a new one eventually. Then the whole process would start over. Every time we mow the lawn we have to do stick pick-up first. Fun memories!

That was seven months, not montage! I take typing lessons from the Sally School if Tavlet Typing!

Sticks? Did someone say Sticks? Jerry loved sticks a lot more than Wyatt but under the right conditions, Wyatt will go for it!

JERRY, JERRY!!! I actually started feeling sorry for the "tree"! You shredded it! Seeing you so happy helps us to remember that you are always "dog".and not "just" a Soul who changed the way we think about giving dogs a chance to live a full life on three legs! Loved yoir music!
WYATT, WYATT! You not only exhausted me watching you run like the wind, but you jad me smiling non-stop as you swirled and ran and savored all the priceless treasures you found! Never, ever doubt the resilience of tripawds and their ability to play full out!
ZEUS AND ZEUS AND MAX!! Any video or pictures?
KATHI! You know I've ALWAYS loved these videos! I jave to remember it's waffles though and not pancakes when I reference that ine. I think Mr. Pumpkin Head gets cuter in every photo! MURPHY will ALWAYS be a huge inspiration for anyone facing the kind of challenges he did. This video needs to be in the Tripawds Gallery of video if it isnw already.
And Kathi...work on your typing, will ua'? It makes it very difficult for us to read with those typos!!! Eh...heh...heh!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Happy Hannah preferred corraling lawn mowers over chasing sticks.....and eating watermelon.
And then we have Merry Myrtle, just being Merry Myrtle...
Have you been eating the deer corn Merry Myrtle?: http://youtu.be.....jWwHvP7j5w
