Lalla's vet, Andre paid us a home visit today for a standard vaccination (park virus, dogs in Tel Aviv are required to have a shot every two months) as the distance to the clinic has become a bit much for her to walk in recent months, and we don't have a car. He always starts with a checkup, and while checking her manually discovered a rather large lump in her abdomen. Where we are now - emotionally, is a very hard place to describe, as you all know. Lalla will be going in for scans early next week. She's being very sweet and calm (unlike her pawrent) - we would appreciate your sending us a bark her way....
Love, Lalla and Sasha
lalla,
I know your mom is worried. Just take one day at a time. It is what it is and with all the medicine around, things are bright. I had a lump on my belly that turned out okay, so just wait until the visit.
Even though I'm kinda fuzzy with drugs right now, i still can send good wishes to you, and my mom will keep you in her thoughts.

Hi Lalla - we pray all turns out well - remind your mom about the power of positive thinking and the power of doggie prayers and the power of love. Focusing on one day at a time even if it has to be one hour or one minute at a time also helps - it's how Mom and I got through some tough times together...lots of love and focus on the here and now.
Keep us posted.
Be well ~
Paws forever,
Zeus (Buddy and Mom too)

BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK!
We love ya baby. And we know you're in good hands. I have a lump on my belly that is just a harmless fatty tumor. They left it there even though it is inches from where they took off my leg.
We know you are in a hard place, but please know we are there with you.
Peace, love, licks and wags ...

First, we would like to thank you all for your support and thoughts; have just returned from the clinic. Lalla has a large tumor in her abdominal area, and miraculously there are no lesions in her lungs. She is undergoing surgery as I type to have the mass removed following the veterinary team's decision for the reason as mentioned above and the fact
That she is relatively young (not quite 5), her vitals and appetite are good and she is very spunky (she was running on the beach last night and her appetite is anything but diminished)
Will keep you posted, thanks again - it means the world to us
Dear Everyone,
Lalla passed away peacefully half an hour ago during an exploratory procedure when other tumors were disocovered on her lymph nodes, spine and even her aorta. Her body just couldn't withstand the trauma.
I am presently thinking of Lalla last night, running on the beach and refusing (barkingly) to eat french fries without ketchup.
All love,
Sasha
We are barkless. Our hearts are heavy to hear this.
There are no words that can ease the grief, we wish there were. Just know that you are in our thoughts and we send our love to you out across the oceans. We are so very, truly sorry.
Lalla, I know you're out there romping on the beach somewhere. Someday, we will get to chase the waves together. Until then, I will think of you whenever I chew on that little toy you sent, and hold your memory in my heart forever.
With Much Love,
Jerry
