Hi everyone,
Wahoooiieeeeeyyyyy!!!!!! 12 pawesome months!!!!! Well we made it back from our 4.5 week holiday just in time for Koda's 12 month ampuversary celebrations and boy did he get spoilt today. Dinner included an organic porterhouse steak and a chicken leg and plenty of cuddles, oh and a chicken leg for breakfast too! And we are looking forward to this weekend to continue the celebrations with a car ride and spending some time at the park socialising with other dogs!!!
So while I was away I skyped Koda twice and both times he ran towards the front door and then my housemate had to call him back to the computer. She pointed to the screen and then he tried to jump up and get to the screen so I am thinking that he knew it was me and that I was there. As I was talking to him he started barking and he was so adorable. When my housemate and I continued on with our coversation he sat at her feet listening in. So I would have to say that Skype was a success and I know it sure made my trip a lot easier.
The joy I felt when I got home though and got to give my boy massive cuddles was priceless!!! He has been very clingy and has come and sat right beside my foot and lent on my leg twice now. It is so adorable because then he just looks up at me while basically sitting on my foot. He never did this before we went away so maybe he is trying to stop me from leaving again 🙂 Both times he has melted my heart. I think I have been clingy too as I can't walk past him without giving him a big pat.
How lucky I am to have him in my life!!!
Storm
P.S. We are just over 12 months post diagnosis (diagnosis and amputation happened within 10 days for us)!!!
Congrats Koda!! Sounds like you had a great celebration. The clinginess is adorable. Makes you feel so loved. He sure missed you! Storm, you are so blessed to have your friend with you this long after the diagnosis. I hope more of us have such good fortune!

Happy 12 month ampuversary Koda!! So pawesome!! This is cause for a huge celebration with lots of hugs, steaks and chicken. And what a great idea to set up skype when you're on vacation.
Here's to many, many more ampuversaries and celebrations!
Kami, Mackenzie & Kobe
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Congratulations on this great milestone! I need to try skyping with Boomie, although I have to say it would be more for my benefit than his!
Cindy and Boomie
Boomie's leg was amputated due to osteosarcoma on May 15, 2008. He enjoyed over two and a half years of life after that, one day at a time. He died on Feb. 21, 2011.
Awesome Koda!!! Congrats on twelve months.
A YEAR WOW!!!
Dinner and breakfast sounded great but what about the ICE CREAM!!!!!
Today is my new pug boy Obie's 4th birthday- so in your honor I will introduce him to ice cream.
