Spoil that girl rotten, she is inspawration on 3 paws! You are giving hope to others, thank you for sharing sp_hearticon2

Oh as for adding images , basically you need to:

- upload a photo somewhere like your own Tripawds blog, or a public image hosting site like Imgur.com
- then copy the image URL (or just tap the image and copy it if you're on a mobile device)
- return here, and paste the image into your forum post.

Hope that makes sense. Let us know if you'd like help. We can't wait to see them smiley16

Kiki Update: We just had her second X-ray check up since she graduated from chemo & she is still showing no signs of cancer cells! These check up appointments always make me anxious, but then I look at Kiki and remind myself to stay present and grateful that she’s come out such a warrior! Love her 🫶

Hello friends! Thank you for the kind responses, Kiara has been super active! I recently took a trip to Disneyland and bought her a bubble gun and she goes crazy for them lol she just loves it! We’ve been taking her for walks up and down our street too. She actually has been shedding a couple pounds each time we’ve taken her to the onco for her check ups, but they said it’s not enough to be worried about. So we just have been putting a couple ounces extra meat with her food & a few extra treats here and there. Thank you for asking!(:

She's such a strong, hoppy girl. Cheers to many more good times! Thanks for the great photo and update.

PS You'll have to show us a video of her attacking the bubbles! icon_lol

Hello friends!! Just wanted to say Happy Holidays to all the tripawd families out there! ❤️ I also wanted to ask- Does anyone have any tips or tricks for their dogs to help them gain weight? Kiara is losing more and more weight, so her next x-ray appointment in December she’ll be getting blood work done again as well. Other than the weight loss, she’s been great. Her 10th birthday is on 12/6 so we’ll be having a little birthday cake special for her.🎂Anywho, thank you for listening ya’ll! 😊

CUTNESS ALERT!

Talk about a smile making picture….loooove  this😁  Thanks for sharing the cuteness.  We love this sweet girl.

Hhaving a slim Tripawd is a good thing,so  we usually don’t get to focus on GAINING weight.too much.

As puppets ”mature” their dietary needs do change and  your Vet wahould be able give you some tips and maybe some supplements.. The  bloodwork  should give some indications if any attention is needed to support kidneys, etc.

What is her main source of food now?  Assuming her appetite is good so she doesn’t need an appetite stimulant?

While waiting for others chime in, check out our nutrition blogs and see if there are any tips there.

Oh my DOG this made my day! Kiara looks so good!

That's a great question about helping dogs put on weight. As Sally mentioned, it's usually the opposite problem we have around here. But when it comes to cancer, weight loss is not uncommon. How do you know she is losing weight? Is her ribcage showing more? Sometimes when we think a dog is too slim they might actually be just right, especially for a Tripawd (which should look like a 3 according to vets we've spoken with, based on the BCS scale):

But if your vet agrees her weight is too low, you can start with a calorie booster to see if that helps. I wouldn't try it though until you talk to your vet about her situation. When in December is her appointment? If you can get her in sooner I would, especially since it's just a blood draw. If there's anything more serious going on (hope not!) you want to deal with it sooner rather than later.

Took Kiara today for her routine check ups (Oncology X-rays & Her cardiology echocardiogram) & great news- she remains cancer free & no progression of her heart disease. Her one year anniversary of being a tripawd is in April! Thinking of hiring a photographer to take some pro pics of her soon.📸 I also wanted to leave a reminder to stay present and take every day day by day with your tripawds, hug them and love them tight!

Quote of the day: “The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog. 🐾”
