Well, we're 22 months and still enjoying every single day with our amazing fur-kid! We've had a few scares.... last year she sprained her only front leg and this year she nearly did it again... last year she took about 2 months to recover, this year was only about 2 weeks. She runs so fast through the woods, she doesn't know what it is to take it easy - she has one speed - fast! We had an x-ray done with this last near sprain and everything is looking great! She was recently diagnosed with doberman cardiomyapothy but even that doesn't seem to slow her down - she's on meds for that, but you'd never know she was anything but perfectly healthy (minus a leg) if you saw her! Not much else to say.... she travels everywhere with us - back and forth between Ontario and BC, car rides, mini vacations... she goes everywhere with us. She's always been fed solid gold dog food, and since her recovery began she has always had 8 salmon oil pills a day, 2 in the morning and 2 at night. That's it for now - best wishes to all tripawds and their families.
Yay Kali! Thanks for the update, lookin' good girl ...

Hey Kali,
Happy 22 months and still going! Your an inspiration to us all. Take it easy with your remaining front limb! You don't know your own speed... Keep us posted. I enjoyed the video.

Wow, I love that video, too! It's so good to hear that Kali is doing so well at 22 months! What a wonderful inspiration for all! Now, just take it easy on your other good front leg, Kali, and you'll be good to go, you big sweet dog, you!

Happy ampuversary!!! Kali is such an inspiration and source of hope for us all. She looks like she's having a great time tramping around the woods.

Great video! 22 months - how fantastic!!
It was really interesting to watch the video because I've not seen many video's of front amputees so it was interesting to be able to compare Kali's gait with my Darcy's (front right). They look pretty much the same so I'm very pleased with that, I can tell you!
Keep up the great work Kali and humans

Thanks loads for that video. I agree about being able to compare gaits. Bonnie has her right front leg off and she walks just about the same. They seem to prefer high speed versus slow walking and you don't see the limp as much when they run. Bonnie wears out a lot faster than Kali but it is great to see what she can look forward to. Congratulations on 22 months!! That is a spectacular accomplishment and we all want to see those kinds of numbers.
