WELCOME HOME JETTA!!! 👏👏👏 You just exude sweetness and gentleness. I like the color they used for her wrap...it's her color😎
It may be that the Gabs works well. Some Vets include the Tram with it, some don't, so you can give it a day or so and see how she does. Right now she still has some good hospital meds in her system and clearly she's resting comfortably.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Called in to the surgeon got trazadone called in for Jetta, just a little unsettled & it seemed to take the edge off. Other than that we are doing really well! Already went out for 2 potty breaks & did great! Idk if this is common but, the past 2 times she peed she did it laying down is this normal?
I see uoire on here now.
Trazefone or Tramadol? Trazedone is more of a sedative but it a pain med. Tramadol is for pain a d works well with Gabapentin

Anyway, the fact that she's peeing is good!! Yes, even of she's laying down!
Right now she's still figuring things out and getting her sea legs. If she's had a dose of the Trazedone already, that could make her a little groggy. Otherwise, just getting out of surgery and still having the pain meds from the hospital can make jer a little groggy too!
Good job Jetta, and her hooman too!

Just so you can feel even better about her new gound position to pee, many dogs just pee in bed the first couple e⁰without even realizing they've gone. So the fact that she is actually going out to potty
And doing it in the way that works best for her is ahead of the curve! sShe's a smart girl👏👏

Oh sweet Jetta! Look at those eyes! I'm so glad to hear the first night went smoothly! And what a rock star - eating well and learning to chew on a bone with one paw? Amazing! Sending hugs your way, Jetta and Taylor! ~ Stacy
Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com
Honest to goodness, Jetra just has THE most smoochable mug! She still looks so much like a "puppy face muzzle". So cute!
People always wonder how a front legger will be able to chew a bone, mor dig. We always say, they WILL figure it out. I don't think anyone really believes us though until they see it first hand!
Good job Jetta!

Hi everyone!
its been a couple days but I wanted to update.
we are day 6 post op! We had our recheck with the surgeon today, he took off the dressing and said the incision looks amazing! We are to have her in a shirt for the next 2 weeks but I cant seem to get one to fit... any suggestions?
We pooped on day 4 post-op & she did SO good... day 2 post op we added pure pumpkin a couple of scoops with fast & dinner and it seemed to really do the trick
Im still so surprised with how well she is moving around I am a proud momma 🙂
We got her raised feeder today, it is from weather tech and is amazing so I wanted to share with you guys

Wow Jetta you are such a rock star! Eating, pooping and moving around? You are a role model for recovery!
The t-shirt thing...have you tried children's t-shirts? Or a recovery shirt?
That is a super nice raised feeder! Love the color.
