Words can not express how sad we feel that your precious Jett has left. I wish that I had some magic words that will make you feel better, but only the knowledge that you fill Jett's life with as much love as possible can ease your feeling of loss. As you have heard above, you will need to take care of yourself now - you are the guardian of Jett's memory. Thank you for sharing the story. Even if that story did not have many long chapters, or the kind of happy ending that Jett deserved, we feel privileged to have met Jett through your postings.

We're so very sorry to hear about Jett - I'm just reading this thread today and cannot express how sorry I am for this. Holly and I will keep you and Jett in our hearts. Please know we are all here for you.
Sending lots of hugs,
Holly and Holly's mom
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Thank you everyone for your kinds words and support. Although it doesn't bring him back, somehow it does help to know that there are other people out there who truly understand the depth of my grief. When I am able I will start a blog about Jett's life and post some pictures. He was my little Gooberlicious and I adored him beyond words. Right now I am paralyzed with grief and sorrow. There is a permanent hole in my heart and soul that I just have to get used to. Jett - Honorary Tripawd.
All of us are thinking of you and send many hugs your way. Writing is a good way to help heal, so yes, please do when you feel up to it. We look forward to reading about your special pup.

Dear Jett's Mom
I was so shocked and saddened to read your news. We always know that dogs can have problems in any kind of surgery, but we sure don't see that much around here. My heart goes out that you had to lose such a young pup. You did all you could do, so please take good care of yourself.
I didn't cry until I read the "honorary tripawd" part. He will always be a member of this community, and I am so sorry that he will not be able to grow up and prove to the world that tripawds are awesome!!! However, he did show that he was a brave little guy, and I will remember him forever. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

p.s. i kept wanting to say "im sorry your story ended the way it did", but I couldnt do it because it hasn't ended. What you have learned from Jett in those 9 months, and what you have learned from this experience, it will all work together to start writing a new chapter, one that grows from the past and the life lessons you now understand. From your first post, you and Jett were both instantly loved. I look forward to hearing more...and seeing pictures!!!!!
Thanks for note Jett's mom. I wish we could reach out and hug you!
The one thing that gives me comfort is knowing how much you love pitties and there are so many that need good homes.
Sending you lots of wuv!
