Well, folks, I did my best over the last few weeks not thinking too much about tomorrow's appt. Tomorrow Jackson gets chest Xrays before his chemo. If they aren't clear....we re-evaluate what we're doing. I'm so so scared! As you may know, he has handled both chemos really well - too well? He expresses no changes in breathing or anything that'd make you think there's something going on. But, we all know that's no guarantee. While they have him, my husband and I will be scared stiff in the waiting room. As before, Jackson will proudly wear his Tripawds bandana , but if you all could be pushing happy, confident, pawsitive thoughts his way, we'd much appreciate it!
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Positive thoughts coming your way from your fellow winter warrior! I know how hard it is waiting for those chest x-rays. Whenever Jill has hers, I feel as if I can't breathe. Just sit with your hubby and take deep breaths and know we are all thinking about you! Jackson is a fighter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Paws, fingers and tails are crossed here for great news! Breathe, relax and remember that no matter what, Jackson doesn't care what those x-rays say, he just wants to have fun with you today

I couldn't agree more with what Jerry said. I know to us it matters but to our Winter Warriors it doesn't. I will be nervous like you on March 6th but I am going to stay positive and no problems so far here so we are wishing you the best too. I know you have Dr D's book so practice the breathing.
Sassy & I are sending Jackson the best healing & positive vibes for tomorrow.
Sassy is a proud member of the Winter Warriors. Live long, & strong Winter Warriors.

March on Winter Warrior! Everything crossed and prayers being said.
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
I so, so understand what you're feeling (as we all do). When Lily trots off for her xray, it's the longest 5 minutes of my life. Wishing you a quick five minute wait!!

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Thanks for the well wishes! We'll harness the whole Tripawd Nation for tomorrow.
I can't help but be tethered to reality with all these stories of heartache and loss tonight. Let there be a beacon of hope tomorrow! Come on, Tres-J!
