He doesn't recognize the day as anything special, but I do! 14 months ago they took his leg because of nasty cancer-pain and now, he's better than ever! I've got no other update besides Jackson is awesome! I'm sick, though, so being able to work at home and give kisses and get kisses sure is nice. Here's my man (about to) enjoy his ice cream:
And his cute face!
~ Katy & Jackson
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Oooo Jackson, you sweet, cute, handsome boy! Look at those dreamy eyes (says Libby)! Yippee on your 14 month ampuversary! You're a rock star and so is your mommy. Keep up the good work and don't be shy about asking for 2nds on the ice cream!
Amy & Libby
P.S. Katy....I hope you feel better soon.
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Hoppy 14th, Jackson! Is that Frosty Paws I see? Our guys love it, but it is sure hard to find.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Yay Jackson. Hoppy Hoppy Ampuversary. You made 14 months & Charley's BIG 40 what a great day to celebrate. I love your face. Way to keep kicking butt. Enjoy all those extra treats today buddy. You are rocking it.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Happy, happy 14 month ampuversary to Jackson Keep kicking cancer's butt!!
Please give your handsome Jackson lots of hugs and kisses from Lily and me
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Thanks, everyone! Yep, Frosty Paws! We ran out of his normal homemade treats, but I think he liked this one just as much. He's easy! Although this time he was NOT into having his picture taken. He wanted that treat and to stop with the poses. Normally, he loves up the camera. Not today.
I still played with him plenty. How could I not? I mean, I'm washing my face and I hear him clack into the bathroom...bark at me, get into play pose, and bark again. So I finish washing, and tear outta there, chasing after him. We have a good game of chase, wrestle, tugOwar, and loving. Love that guy! He's so cute, so funny, and really has no sense that I'm sick...!
It's MARCH! You know what that means? He's a feature pup in the Tripawds calendar!!!! I get to see his face, up close and next to many other warriors. Enjoy!
