Hello everybody, well we are 7 weeks post op, and boy is bouncer doing well. I can't thank all of your enough for your words of kindness, and wisdom. Bouncer is one of the lucky ones, he didn't have osteo, his was a nerve root tumour. So it was a case of remove the leg (which was going dead) and he would still be sound.
I have my boy back, he is now doing all that he did when he had 4 legs. He now runs, although it frightens me to death. So to all those just starting out, these guys know what its all about, ask if your not sure.
Once again I thank you for all your help, as does bouncer.
He looks great! Hooray for Bouncer! Keep bouncin'. And double-hoorays for no cancer!!
All the best,
Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Great news, very cool. Keep on keepin' on.

Thanks everyone.
My poor boy. He is going to the vet tomorrow as he has a lump in his stomach.
He had this before, about a year ago, it was a Chondrosarcoma, we had it removed and thought we had got it all, but it looks like its back. He is having another ultrasound and biopsy tomorrow so hopefully find out if it is another Chondrosarcoma
I really do not know what he has done to deserve this, since August last year, he's had 2 chondrosarcoma (poss) and a nerve sheath tumour.
3 in about a year.
I'm hoping its another case of removal and he can get on with life, especially after going through having his leg off!
Sorry everyone...rant over.
Rant away! This is the place to do it.
I understand where you are coming from- my pug Maggie had 6 cutaneous mast cell tumors removed besides the one she lost her leg to, and then got an oral melanoma tumor! It's hard to ever relax and not worry, right?
But Maggie just kept going on with her life, she let me do all the worrying .
Good luck with the vet visit- let us know what you find out.

p.s.- now in my Moderator voice: you might consider starting a new topic in the Treatment and Recovery forum- it sometimes help other members keep track of Bouncer's progress. Here is fine too if it makes more sense to you.
So sorry to hear about Bouncer and the new issue. It does seem unfair.
Yes, as another mouthy moderator - please consider starting another topic! Based on the title of this one, people may not click in because they may have already responded.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I'm so sorry to hear Bouncer is having to deal with more health issues!
We're sending lots of positive energy and huggs your way
Keep us posted on how your boy is doing!
