Thank you for the welcome Fortis's dad. I will have to try and find your blog. Yea for Fortis being as amazing as you thought outliving everyones expectations. What breed is Fortis? I am curious about the name too.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Elizabeth,
Fortis is a Cane Corso. His Italian name is Fortissima and well Fortis just stuck! I thank you for your post on my blog. I can assure you Fortis is a big love. He loves everybody. Thanks for asking.
Sending positive thoughts your way. I know you have had a tough weekend but hang in there it will get better.
Hi there! I have to jump in because Cemil is a big dog too. He weighs 148#. I was pretty worried in the beginning too, but dogs figure things out much faster than we give them credit for. A face-plant or two is normal so expect it and be ready to feel really bad, but Sammy will just get up and go on. And learn a little more about how to move better. I can't add anything to the advice you've received so just take one more wish for a smooth surgery and recovery.
