I am proud to announce that my lovely tripod Sid has just become a registered Pets As Therapy dog! He passed his temperament assessment and health check a couple of weeks ago, and we just received his paperwork and a list of establishments where they'd welcome visits from a therapy dog!
We've been away for a couple of days so I haven't had a chance to try his new jacket and tags on him yet, but pictures may follow.

And someone has been busy in your absence helping us through some issues we had with our recent Simple:Press Forums upgrade. We can't that Sid's pop enough for all his time and support!
Hooray for Sid passing his tests, we know he'll make a great Tripawds ambassador on his therapy visits. Congratluations, we look forward to seeing those photos.

You go Sid!! I am sure that a visit from you will be very uplifting for all concerned. It is a wonderful program and really helps people. Normaly such a visit will help them forget their problems, but Sid will start with a special topic regarding life as a TriPawd.
Spirit Cherry
Awesome! Sid will be an inspawration to so many - that's great!
Holly and Holly's mom
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13
Yips!!! that's great news Sid!
Now I know who to have come over when I'm feeling down!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
That is awesome news. I would really like to do that with Trouble, but her obedience isn't excellent, and she's spooky of loud noises. I'm not overly concered aobut the perfect obedience, as she's much more looking to me for guidance when we are out of our normal environment, but the noise thing - one loud noise and she will turn for home, or wherever she perceives home should be...
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Thanks everyone!
Jerry - He's always happy to help! 🙂
Shelby - Sid is my second PAT dog. You're right, it is very rewarding! And more fun than you'd think!
Hugapitbull - yes, the loud noises thing is important, but Sid's assessor was telling me about a dog she had through a while back who failed on that. Her owner worked on desensitising her, and she passed when she tried again six months later! Not all can do it though. I've had two dogs who would never have passed that part.
Tripawd trading cards? What are they?
Here's the information:
We now have the opportunity to create a Tripawd Trading Card with our dog's picture and stats:
that is part of the order process on our website. So they would go to http://www.cust.....scards.com
browse through the sample gallery, and click the order now button. This will bring up an order page to enter information and upload images.
I just created a promo code that will give them 30% off trading cards. The code is simply: tripawds
I'd love to trade with you if you decide to get trading cards. PM your address. (As far as I know, the discount is still in place.)
