Hey

So we have been really busy just lately back and forth to the vets and stuff time consuming for sure. Still found time to finally catch up with you all amazing people with your amazing tripawd Dogs and cats to!

Leo is 8 weeks old tomorrow cant believe it to be honest. 7 weeks and 3 days ago we were sat holding our breaths praying he would pull through the operation!

Well we now i think i a much better place now my paranoid behaviour has settled down you know the "he looks sad today", "hmm is he walking funny?", " maybe theres problem hes trying to tell us" and "was that yelp from him? where did he get hurt?" and the list goes on!

Today he walks with a proper swagger he has been taken in to so many peoples hearts its fantastic, but i reckon he knows it to! I brought him the balancing pad and his walking is so much better. We do swim in the bath once a day but hes a loony and loves it rather too much! He uses the balancing pad 3 times a day for around 20 mins per time, and it seems to have helped his walking for sure, and standing. Previously he was a very good seal pup impressionist, and would swivel on his bum round but now he stands up tall and stands just because he can! I am soo proud of him.

Going to have a day tomorrow just of fun and play with his siblings etc, as after all its his 8 weeks old milestone and so needs to be applauded. Plus its time his siblings will be leaving us soon and so this maybe the last chance with them all together causing mayhem and chaos winker

https://www.fac.....3/?fref=ts you can see all his videos and photos on his page also!

My baby boy is growing so fast and soon not going to be little but of course still my baby! aw-shucks

Awww Thank you I promise to update his blog with lots of videos for you as well so you can see them all 🙂 I need to upload more to his youtube channel as well so as soon as i have done it i will send you a message so you can see it all!

Cant miss out on all the puppy party pictures as well to come so I will make sure you dont miss out on them! Hes such a little heart breaker but still just as eager to please and to learn as any other dogs. Although got told off for stealing a little kebab meat the other day lol so just as cheeky and naughty! We will be getting the balancing pod things soon as well but for now hes doing awesome on the balancing pad for sure. Although we make space for lots of play time as well!

His mum is great at encouraging him and he seems to respond more when shes around which is lovely although i have a fairly small bathroom which makes life slightly more awkward when you have a parent observing childs swimming lessons! As i am sure you can imagine but i couldn't be more impressed or proud of him! aw-shucks

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Just the phrase 'puppy party' brings a smile to my face!

Active 10+ Pyr mix suddenly came up lame with ACL tear in left rear leg. Scheduled for a TPLO but final pre-op x-rays indicated a small suspicious area, possibly OSA, which could have caused the ACL tear. Surgeon opened the knee for TPLO but found soft bone. Biopsy came back positive for OSA. Became a Tripawd 9/18/14. Carbo6 with Cerenia and Fluids. Pain free and living in the moment. Crossed the Bridge on 7/12/15 after probable spread of cancer to her cervical spine. A whole lifetime of memories squeezed into 10 months. Here's her story: Eloise

Oh so glad to see you are both getting into a fun routine and he's stronger by the day! Sounds like you are both having a ball, he's such a cutie.

With those balance pad sessions, we've been told by rehab therapists that they should be no more than 5 minutes or so, even for an adult dog. It's more tiring than it looks. Did you ever get a chance to find a better therapist near you?

Hi

We are seeing someone who another vet recommended well Noel Fitzpatrick did.

They said because he's a young hypoactive pup and is unlikely to use it properly and I spend more time correcting then he's on it lol they said until he's using it much more sturdily to do the 20mins per session although we do balance pad bit, normal training as in sit, give a paw, stand and lay down then back to the pad as it's hard to pin him down now as he's quick lol 😊

Awww Thank you sorry My laptop decided it wasnt mine so i wasnt allowed to get in! lol Stupid thng!

I just want to Leo to have a long happy life with the world at his paws! As he so deserves it and the more we can fix it for him the better. Just invested in some steps for him to get in and out of the van when hes bigger, as well. So dont think much is going to stop him if i am honest!

He knows i adore him i think and has me twisted around his little paws!

Next step.... The dreaded first vaccinations!
