Hello everyone. Been a busy busy year which is a good thing in my line of work. But I wanted to pop in and give a big happy shout out for Radar's 3 year ampuversary.
Yes, it's been three whole years and my boy never looked better and has never lost his amazing, dumbfounding zeal and excitement for living. He is such a bold, bossy, happy boy that I feel he would facedown the devil himself if he ever came knocking.
Radar is a front leg amputee after a diagnosis (xray only - no biopsy) for osteo sarcoma. He has never had chemo or radiation and other than vitamin supplements, his diet hasn't changed. I feel that, as with people, attitude has a lot to do with recovery and longevity. He is happy and carefree. I have tons of pics where it looks like he is laughing as he goes through life. Oh and he is still one of the fastest in my pack and loves racing his half sister Phoenix across our property. She always wins but he is always close behind.
Radar wants to let all the tripawds and future tripawds out there to know that there is life after amputation.... and lots of it. Be happy, love life, and you will never know how far it can take you.
Connie
Happy ampuversary, Radar! Make sure to wheedle as many treats out of your owners as you can on your special day 🙂

Radar is making sure he gets his share of lovin today and is laying next to my desk "talking" as I write this. The annual ice cream party will not be held until after his mother gets over a current lung infection. She can't have any dairy right now so next weekend the ice cream will be flowing.
Hugs, nuzzles, scruffles and belly rubs for all.
Wow, Radar, how awesome is a 3 year celebration! You are the inspiration all the new comers need to hear about. Have a wonderful belated ice cream party. You definitely deserve that special treat (and all the special treatment you can get)!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
That's fantastic! Happy Ampuversary Radar!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
...and WE ARE SHOUTING BACK!
HOPPY AMPUVERSARY!!!!!!
Geez Radar, you are truly one of the old timers here now. It's hard to believe that when you joined us in July 2008 I was running amok and road trippin' with my folks. How beautiful to know that you are doing so well and loving life! Congratulations!!!!!
We love these pics from last year's pawty, be sure to add more pics of you for this year's OK? Hope your mamma feels better soon.

Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
