Hank is a 9 year old English Mastiff that was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in September of 2010.  He started limping in July 2010 and no medications seemed to help his comfort level.  He had an MRI in September of 2010 and was diagnosed with Wobblers. The day after his MRI they found the lump on his shoulder blade. They did a biopsy and it was Osteosarcoma.  We proceeded with the amputation even with the Wobblers diagnosis as well.  We were unsure how he would do.  Hank has proven time and time again his love of life and his will to carry on.  He has proven to be a true inspiration to everyone he meets.  He had his right front leg amputated in October 2010 and we did 6 rounds of chemotherapy.  He just celebrated his 9th birthday January 4, 2013.  He doesn't know he only has three legs.  He continues to try to play with his brother George and sister Mable (both English Mastiffs as well).  He is such a happy boy.  We love him with all our hearts and are so glad we decided to give him a chance by taking away his pain with the amputation.  He is a remarkable dog!!!!

Wow!  That's a whole lotta ampuversaries!  Hoppy Ampuversaries, big guy!  You're darn cute and so lovable.  Keep up the fight and all the hoppy times!  Thanks for sharing.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!
