Well, six weeks ago I would never had imagined Gus would be this good. He's back to going up in the hay mow, jumping into the back of every pickup that comes here, roaming the fields to patrol his territory and back to sleeping on the couch on his back, paw straight up, back ones just kinda spread eagle, what a site!!! Thanks to everyone for the advice and support you gave Gus and myself, we feel like we are part of a unique family that only we can relate to. We just hope we can return the favor to people starting down the same road. I think today we will have extra on the treats, probably more than once!!. We take every day one at a time and just hope he feels this good for a long time. Paws up, Dan and Gus
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
congrats on six weeks, here's to many many more!!! gus, it's nice to know there are guys like you who appreciate a good nap on the couch...keep up the good work!

Love Never Ends
Happy 6 week ampuversary!! That's so pawesome that Gus is doing so well. Yes, a big celebration is in store for sure with lots of treats! Mackenzie will definitely be happy to participate since she is a treat monster. Here's to many, many more ampuversaries and celebrations!
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Happy six weeks Gus ! Keep on enjoying life and showing everyone Tripawds are awesome.

Woohoo Gus! Well done! Gotta love those luxuriously uninhibited spreadeagled poses!
Glad he's doing so well.

Dan and Gus,
So very glad that you both are doing so very well. Sounds like Gus had made a remarkable recovery that that is the kind of news this community loves. Six weeks is definately a reason to celebrate with a PAWRTY and it sounds like you two are well on your way. Extra hugs, more playtime, special treats and Miss Cherry's favorite measure for a PAWRTY - ICE CREAM! The first three have a great start and now you only have to had the last to make it Over-The-Top (as it should be). We will be celebrating vicariously with you and toasting all the Ampuversary notices the have come up recently. This good new is inspawration to all and loved by the entire community.
Do not worry about being able to contribute. Not only does this great update help inspire others, but we have read your replys and your experience base and upbeat approach are just what we need. Keep on enjoying life each and every day.

She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Congrats, Gus! So glad to hear you are doing so well. Harley would like to dedicate his afternoon nap on the couch, with paws in the air, to you!!
I feel the same way ... this is a very special & unique family, and only the people here truly understand what we are going through.
