Griffin and Arktik can meet at the Canada/US border! You two can yell back and forth, the dogs can sniff and chase each other. Call it "Paws Across the Border"Kerren and Tripawd Kitty Mona
HAHAHA love this 'Paws across the Border' ! They would be so cute 🙂
But yes Stacy this is a pretty good deal for me time wise, without traffic the border is not even exactly an hour from Mtl 😉 I do go to Toronto few times a year but usually the puppy is not with me 🙁
In the meantime, with the whole Covid stuff we'll keep cheering for our Tripawds twin from here!
Tomorrow will mark 8 weeks since Griffin's surgery. It feels both longer than that and also like it was just yesterday. I am incredibly thankful that he has recovered so well, is living a happy life, and shines as a beacon of hope and inspiration for others. ♥
Griffin in his man-spreading glory!
A helpful reminder from the NYC Parks Department!
A hike in the woods on Monday...
A game of fetch in the park on Tuesday...
A moment of Hudson River zen on Wednesday...
Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com
HAPPY EIGHT WEEK AMPUVERSARY GRIFFIN!!! Eight weeks of victories, milestones, rapid fire recovery, providing inspiration to others, sharing your smile, upir joy and your zen!! We are so grateful for you and your Mom❤
It is hard to believe it's been eight weeks. It's like Griffin skipped the recovery phase and went straight to jumping head first into Sparkle Zone!😎
Griffin's nature walk is just beautiful. Very lush and green forest. The birds seem to sing right on cue to add even more beauty to these videos. Griffin wastes no time going after his ball. Gonna make sure nobody else gets it. And then we get to have our peaceful moment of Zen with the lovely panoramic video of the Hudson.
These eight weeks have been chocked full of so much fun traveling with Griffin. And you have shared so much invaluable information for everyone on this journey.
Keep these ampuversaries going Griffin!!
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Happy ampuversary, Griffin! Thanks for sharing that tranquil video, Stacy. The weather has been quite dreary here lately and it was nice to a lovely day, even on the internet!
What a lovely pup. He's got quite an elegant gait! He's so tall. I can't imagine walking on 3 with legs that long but he makes it look great.
Hoppy Ampuversary Griffin! Your story is truly enspiring and heartwarming. Wishing you many more ampuversaries to celebrate!!

Hoppy Ampuversary Griffin! And Many More to Come!
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes! I know how lucky we are that Griffin's recovery has been so smooth and I am thankful for each day that he spends living life to the fullest and free of pain! I really took to heart Sally's call for good news because honestly, there are times when I feel guilty for posting about how well Griffin is doing knowing that other pups and their families may be struggling. So, I promise to keep posting and sharing, and cheering on everyone else with the same amazing support that I have received. Love y'all!

Love hearing about the victories! I cant speak for everyone, but it reminds me of each milestone that my boy reached, so keep posting the victories.
Never feel guilty for Griffen doing so well! Besides I told you before that some of Griffens expressions reminds me of Brownie. That makes me happy. Griffen must have a big personality too.

We cheer for our tripawd family with every victory, whether it's a smooth recovery, the first poop, first long walk, first jump up on the couch, celebrating ampuversaries, whatever!😎 If we only heard about the negative, the sad, the bad, this site would shut down and that would be a travesty!

Eight weeks already!
Conrats Stacy and Griffin, you two have been an inspiration to Ziva and I. All the good and positive vibes are great to see and have help me tremendously in most my decisions with Ziva and her treatment.
So happy ampuversary from Me and Z. Keep on being more dog!!
We've had a few gorgeous days in NYC! Griffin and I have enjoyed lengthy morning strolls to bask in the breezy sunshine. Last night I did my part to support the local restaurant economy (ok - I just really didn't want to cook!) by ordering dinner from The Hudson, located at the entrance to our favorite park. Restaurants in NYC are open only for take-out/delivery, although outdoor dining options will be permitted soon and I can't wait since this is the view from that restaurant! That's the George Washington bridge connecting NY on the left and NJ on the right.
Griffin continues to love his home-cooked meals, which I make in batches of about 10 at a time. He still gets one-third can wet food and 1 cup kibble in the morning, and whatever kibble remains is mixed in with his meals in the afternoon. Griffins supplements include vitamins, powdered and capsule mushrooms, colostrum, Chinese herbs, joint supplements, and fish oil each day! As I portion out his home-cooked meals after cooking, I add the supplements so that the gelatin covering on the pills will soften and disintegrate for easy mixing into his food when I'm ready to serve them. This pill organizer has been invaluable in keeping it all straight!
One of our neighbors who recommended the rehab center we went to recently is also a photographer. We often see him with his pup in the park during our evening strolls. He had his camera last night and took this photo of Griffin:
And here are a few photos that I took of my happy boy! Enjoy!
Life is good!

Another thing you never thought you would do for your dog, right?!?!
I had to resort to that with quad-Pug Tani as she got older because she had so many meds to take a day.
Our restaurants aren't open for dine in yet either although it might be coming soon (San Francisco Bay Area). A couple of restaurants in my town have been providing groceries in addition to take out which I thought was a great idea. It was really helpful when this first got crazy and the stores were out of a lot of stuff. It also allowed them to keep some additional people employed which is awesome.
I'm glad you got some great weather and got to go out and enjoy!
