To say Gilly had a very rough start to his life is an understatement!
He was born a stray on the streets of South Central LA. At 3 months of age he was dumped at the South LA Animal Shelter with a completely mangled front leg. For most dogs in his condition this is an immediate death sentence at that shelter. Luckily for him, and for us, he was rescued by the AMAZING Lange Foundation who paid to have his amputation surgery.
He battled through losing a limb and pneumonia to become the most amazing dog ever!
Hi Gilly! If you are in L.A. try to come to our Tripawds Pawty in Riverside tomorrow!
We would love to see a photo of you. Got one?

Way to fight and live on, Gilly! I'm so glad to hear you're doing so well.
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
