YAY! SURGERY IS DONE AND RECOVERY HAS BEGUN!!!!👏👏
Duke is on some good pain meds and probably seeing a few pink elephants and getting some good rest. . This is the time for uoj to get some rest too.
Yes, stay upbeat and happy and confident when you go to get Duke. No need to draw attention to the incision. Jist give him lots of hugs and "good boy"!
Let us know jow the homecoming goes and definitely stay connected.
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Duke is doing well. Still wants to go walking but I just take him out long enough to use the bathroom. He does very well. We’ve only had 1 fall outside and I blame the cone. Neither of us like it, it makes it harder for him to get around, bangs it on everything. I keep telling him to lift his head up lol. But we’re managing. My pig is curious but I keep her away bc she does sniff him but also randomly bites so don’t need to test that situation. Denver the puppy I’ve been keeping them separate until yesterday. He was listening really well to giving duke space so. I’ve let be around each other. Just not going outside or sleeping. Denver is doing well with him. Duke jumped up on the couch yesterday while I was walking Denver. Made me nervous to leave. But I’ve barricaded the furniture so hopefully he’ll stay on the floor at least while I’m away. He seems a little more tired today than he has been but still getting up to go to the bathroom and walk in the kitchen to inspect. I have a schedule for his pills since there’s 5 different ones at the moment. So he’s getting one every few hrs. So I hope that’s be working for him. Can’t wait for this cone and staples to come off.
merry Christmas everyone!
Good boy Denver! And you are a good patient, Duke! Sounds like things are getting a bit easier for you guys with each new day. This is a great Christmas present for all of you!
Yeah the cone of shame is the worst! But necessary, so don't cave in. You are doing a great job managing this recovery, not an easy feat when you've got a nosy piggy and a puppy too.
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We are so thankful to just have another Christmas with Jessee. She's doing so well. Happy, cuddly, loving, wants scratchy butts, no pain. So thankful... We have been extremely fortunate not to need to cone. We bought it, we have two all ready but so far with the tshirt covering her stitches and a warmer jacket on top, no licking or scratches issues. Maybe she knows the cone is waiting for her to make the move Still trying to figure out how to post a video and some pictures. I started a blog to be able to do so ... fingers crossed.
Awww Hoppy Christmas to you too! Pretty cool that Jessee is really rockin' this recovery life!
OK keep an eye on the incision, it gets itchy a week or so after surgery and that's when many dogs go for it.
As for photos, here's how adding images works:
1. Upload pics to a photo sharing site like imgur.com or your own Tripawds blog!
2. Right click and copy the Image URL or just copy the image if you’re on a phone
3. Return to your Tripawds Forum post and paste the image URL (or the image itself) in your post. It should automatically appear.
If you’d like help figuring out the process let me know. Can't wait to see your blog! I'll get it approved, Admin's been away.

Hi, thanks for replay regarding cone. It's ready for Jessee at a moments notice. But we are on day 10 post surgery and so far she's being a very good girl. She is licking her right foot now but I'm thinking that may be because it's slightly swollen and getting so much more wear and tear than when she had both. Have checked with Vet and Surgeon and other tripawd moms that say it's normal. But watching it closely.
I can't tell if my blog is approved or not as I don't see the buttons for loading images you mentioned. I may just have to give up and say HELP.
Anyway, thanks for helping me along and being there and making me feel it's gonna be ok even when it's questionable...
