Yes, it really hasn't been easy. Czar gets his recheck xrays in a week. I'm so nervous. I know that I've done all that I can, but it's been just about 3 months since his amputation. I'm hoping for many more.

I've only taken two walks since Riot died. Czar is just not feeling it, but I made him go a few times. I've tried to go without him, but that was far too hard. I'm hoping he'll come with the incentive of a couple puppies. I'll have to do a quick crochet project before they come, as I promised a coworker I'd make him something for his baby shower soon.

I know it's hard,  I truly understand with all of my heart.  Funny you should mention crochet,  I am making my first baby blanket since my 13 year old grandson was born.  It's for a co- worker that just got married and is expecting in April.  Lord,  I hope I can finish it!! It's getting easier but not quite the "easy like riding a bike" lol.

On a more serious note,  have you played with the idea of meditation? Calm has a great free app, it's about as good as the paid app, i have had both.  Sometimes you need to take even just 10 min in the morning or at night to yourself,  even if you have to fight for it.  I've meditated in my car  before going into the office.  I just go to work a few minutes early.  If you haven't,  try it for a week and see how you feel.  Might be worth it and cost nothing.

Yeah,  that pup is still in my head,  but i need to take care of what I got right now.  He's so beautiful,  i can't imagine him not being scooped up.  I was horrible at rescue, lol. When I worked with animals I had 3 dogs and 7 cats! I was also a lot younger😆🤪😉

I'm setting the count down to healthy rads. What day are you taking him? He's going to be ok, I'm praying for you❤

Sally that's genius! Yes! A puppy shower for Czar!

Great idea! We are all about that! Admin and I use the Headspace App. They have a great beginner program. We've done at least 5 minutes a day for the last 3 years and it's made a huge difference in how we live in the world. I wish we had started a long time ago but I'm just glad we did.

Sorry I check out for a bit. It was a rough weekend. Riot has been gone two months. Pretty much everyone I know seems to think I should have moved on. I'll try meditation.

That is truly one of rhe best pictures evvvvver. OMD!!!  ADORABLE!!!!!   That silly boy sure knows how to make people smile!😁   And then the second picture shows off his handsome model face with strong bone structure.  Sich a handsome boy

Your family here understands  there is NO timeframe on jhow long our grief lasts and how it displays  itself.  This journey  is like no other and, again, we get it.  Others can't. Everyone here will tell you that, yes, it does lessen and yes, happy memories  come to the forefront more often.  Everyone  here will also tell you the wave of sadness can strike at any time  when you least expect it.  Just let it flow through you, recognize it, don't try to deny it.

Be easy in yourself.  You have had a double whammy with Czar, not to mention you've been sick.

Hugs.....and thanjs fot thise sweet poctures😊

Love the pictures,  he's so handsome and looks very happy.

I can only ditto what others have said about grieving.  It's not something that you can rush,  and nobody should tell you how long it should take,  although many will.

On  top of all this you have also had health issues.  Please be good to yourself.  You deserve that.  You work very hard and have been slammed a bunch.  This  is going to take some time.  I was thinking about you this morning and wondering how you were.  We're all here for you and sometimes you just need to unplug.  No worries,  we will be here when you get back🤗🤗

Thank you for sharing that picture,  i smiled from ear to ear when i saw that sweet face. Please hang in there and get some rest.  I know i sound like a broken record but rest is what you need to heal physically and emotionally.

Try the meditation. It might take a little looking before you click with something but it is well worth the effort.

Big hugs,

Jackie and Huck❤

TOTAL cuteness alert! Oh Czar, I just want to smooch your schnout!

I'm sorry you had a tough time. Two months is NOT a long time and you have every right to feel the way you do. In time, you won't, but that's not where you are at right now and that is OK and normal.

People either get pet loss grief or they don't. I feel sorry for the ones who don't, because clearly they've never had the kind of bond with an animal that is life-changing. So you can feel free to ignore them and lean on us. We get it. xoxox

Thank you for the suppoort. Yes, it's just so hard. Plus, I'm worried about Czar as well. He seems like he's doing well right now. He gets xrays on Thursday. If they're clear, he gets chemo round number 3. We have to wait 3-4 weeks for his vaccine titer numbers to come in. Hopefully he's made antibodies, and he doesn't need another shot.

My pneumonia is mostly cleared up. The doctor says a few more weeks.

Czar's lung scans were totally clear! His blood work was normal, and he'll be getting his chemo soon. That's such a relief!

Paula and Warrior Angel Nitro

Nitro 11 1/2  yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! Thank you all. Yes, I'm very relieved. He was too wiggly to do it without sedation this time, but that's fine. They got a really clear picture. I'll make him stew tonight. That's his favorite. I'll be staying with him for his next appointment, so he can have a break from the long day.

Now I need to finish getting my place ready for puppies. 2 1/2 weeks!
