Short update Chemo # 4 was a go. I am really shocked that there hasn't been any delays. But yet so glad. Sassy is a tough cookie. Only problem was me. I was getting nervous as we waited for the blood tests so she fed off that nervous energy & wouldn't relax. She paced then laid down but was panting pretty hard, switching from side to side.
On the postitive side though her Tripawd Bandana brought us good luck & everyone loved it. They even said she could wear it while having her treatment which shocked me

Way to go Sassy!!!!!! We love you!!!
Erica & Jill (Sassys pink bandana'd partner in crime!)
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. "Like" Jill's facebook page: https://www.fac.....tty?ref=hl Proud member of the WINTER WARRIORS!!!! Her blog can be read at http://jillsjou.....ipawds.com. xoxo
Yey, Sassy! Yeah, we're firm believers in the bandana power around here too (blue is for boys!). Congrats, girl! You keep up the fight!
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Go Sassy! Glad to hear you're a-ok. Maybe they should have a special pet parent waiting room where they serve tranquilizers.
We have a yellow bandanna here; Dakota always looked dashing in it though he generally tried to take it off with his teeth.
Shari
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
You rock, Sassy! Note to self: Order bandana tomorrow!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
I think that is what I needed Shari. Maybe several tranquilizers lol. So I went to Village Inn for breakfast with a friend and came home with a pie, then went to Walmart and got Oreo cookies thanks to you Bad combination but at least I waited until tonight to have it.

Hooray for another treatment down! And she looks fantastic in her TWP pink bandana!
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
