Hi All,
Champ is just 1 1/2 weeks short of his 2 month ampuversary and had a big oncologist visit today. He is on metronomic chemo and was due for a 1 month re-check.
Well —- I am happy to say the ultrasound of his abdomen was completely clear, blood work is great. So far, so good. He will continue on the metronomic chemo for as long as we want (as least for another 4 months) and have another follow-up in 2 months with the oncologist. I am so proud of how brave my boy is.
Joy & Champ
Champ is truly a Champ! Thanks for the great update.

Zack, King of Dogs, 1996 to 2010
Zack lived a full 14 years, even to the end.
The joy and memories he provided us will last a lifetime.
Surviving him is his sister, Izzy, a 12-year-old boxer mix quadpawd.
And the latest addition, Zula, an 11-month-old pit bull mix tripawd.
Oh that's great news! What a sweetie! From his avatar, it looks like he loves belly rubs, so here's to lots of treats and belly rubs!
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Joy & Champ,
We are so very happy to hear of the great check-up! Not only will we start a celebration but will make sure to extend it through the two month ampuversary. These are great milestones and deserving of an extra special celebration. (We also believe in celebrating each day together!) So let's get out Miss Cherry's checklist - Extra Hugs (or tummy rubs), Extra Playtime (watch out for any ice at this time of the year), Special Treats, and ICE CREAM. Celebrations are very wonderful and all the family will be celebrating with you vicariously.
Looking forward to Many More Ampuversaries, and sending Pawsitive Thoughts,
Spirit Cherry's Dad

hi joyhh...well i m happy for champ tht he getting good day by day,,,
Great news about Champ! And he does look like a champ too! Mackenzie (my golden) is also on the metronomic (palladia and cytaxin) and it has really helped to slow down the cancer (she's been doing this for almost 6 months now.) So it's a great treatment plan without those regular chemo side effects. So we hope Champ continues to do well. Happy 2 Month Ampuversary!!!
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
