A big day indeed for the beautiful Blossom! So lovely to know how shenreacted to the little girl. You definitely have a Service Dog in the making. And maybe you need to put a chocolate in the pocket of strangers to help with the socialization 😉👍

Such a Happy update. Well, except for the destruction of your yard

When we brought the "girls" home, Dusty looked at us like "what the heck are those 2 things doing in my house?"
Blossum has been getting into and chewing on Dusty's face since the first week she arrived. The two of them growl, whine, cry, chortle and make other noises I can't describe. Usually when Blossom is in his face, Daisy is working on his only rear leg! They fall down, roll around, it's always a mystery which dog will pop up first.
The "girls" necks and head are usually soaked with each other's and Dusty saliva, small bits of unchewed breakfast and dirt from freshly dug holes in the back yard. Dusty has on occasion has risen from these bouts with a bit of a "wet head." But the girls are always wetter and sloppier than Dusty. From the volume and intensity of their vocals, you would think these are serious fights.
Rosy wants no part of these carrying on's. She sounds her don't get within 5 feet of me growl and sits on the porch and watches. She's just so "above" this type of behavior. And remember, Rosy is all about the ball!
These bouts usually occur after eating and before their after-meal naps.
It's taken 5 years off of Dusty. He won't admit it, but he's having fun. And, he makes sure Daisy doesn't whoop up poor, poor Blossom too often.
Hahaha....l love the fashionable debris hats and scarves they wear on their heads and around their necks😎
Dusty is a very good brother with a lot of patience. Interesting how Rosy has set her boundaries with the youngsters and they listen
Continue to chuckle how you and Cindi went to pick up one puppy and brought home two precious pups🥰
Shelby must be really proud of herself for picking out these two for you😂

Miss Boss'em Blossom has had another full week, and it's only Thursday!
On her birthday we went out for Chicken Samiches and Vanilla Ice Cream. Blossom and I found a table and Cindi went in to order. A family seated nearby was really checking Blossom out. Lot's of smiles and pointing led to them come over and meet her. As they started reaching out to her, she stiffened up a bit, but "let" them pet her. There were smiles all around and they left happy.
20 minutes later a mom, her daughter and her 2 daughters came over. With lot's of giggles and hands petting her, Blossom "put up" with it. They also left smiling, and Blossom had her birthday dinner and desert.
A couple of evenings later, we threw Blossom in the truck and headed off to Baskin Robbins. It's on the outside of a mall with tables and chairs and a good amount of foot traffic. Blossom and I found a table and Cindi went inside. A couple came up and said their dog just lost his front leg to cancer. They knew about TRIPAWDS and were so impressed with "you know who." Blossom really responded to them, perking up her ears and looking at them as they sat with her. We chatted for a couple of minutes, and they headed inside. They were in line with Cindi and the conversation turned to "you know who."
Cindi brought our ice cream out and said, "they bought our ice cream!" I said, if I knew that we'd bought a couple of gallons to take home.
On their way out they gave Blossom some more hugs and left. Not 5 minutes later another couple stopped by and Blossom perked her ears up and looked like she was really enjoying meeting new people. Several more people stopped and spent some time with her, she did great! On our way to the car two other folks stopped us and as they bent over to pet her, she moved behind Cindi. On the next try, everything went well!
Blossoms come a long way and we're really proud of her!
Oh gosh! You have every reason to be proud of Blossom! Under your loving care, your patience and your deep understanding of who Blossom is, you have helped her "blossom" !
I love how she tolerated the first several times people were petting her but really relaxed and enjoyed the attention when the owners of the tripawdd came over.. Such a special connection.

Too funny!! 🤣😂 Absolutely you should have ordered more!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY "You know who. Miss Boss, Blossman"♥️♥️
And btw, loooove the pictures! Ahe was so polite and dignified locking the ice cream off the spoon. And no drool in sight!

It's the middle of the afternoon on a gorgeous autumn day and the "girls" have been playing for hours. That means bringing in any twig, rock, plant root, chewed up toy or random sock they have "procured." But what they really enjoy, is shredding any piece of paper, cardboard or magazine that we foolishly put in the recycle bin. Sometimes even poor Dusty has been influenced by "them" and joins in their debauchery.
Yes, they are a "bad influence" on poor, sweet, Dusty. Rosy, on the other hand, would never, ever, partake in such foolery. She watches, disapprovingly, all this from Mom's couch, while guarding her ball.
Worn out and content, they lay among the carnage they have created.
Ya, they do all that stuff, and more, but sure are cute!
Love the picture. I agree the 2nd one is too adorable. I hope you add it to the calendar.

Gonna be a rough few days for the girls' starting tomorrow. I know it's a good thing...I just have to keep telling myself that.
Daisy has her spay appointment tomorrow, she has to be there between 8:15 and 8:45 IN THE MORNING! I told them we're retired; we don't get up that early. They said, well, you'll need to make an exception. Cindi told me, yes, we'll be there, and something about with bells on?
I'm really dreading it, I don't do well seeing our "kids" hurting. I would think they'll send some drugs home with Daisy to help with the pain and such, who do I ask if they have anything for my pain and suffering?
Boss'em Blossom has hers the next day. I have no idea when we need to be there for hers. She'll probably look at Daisy when she comes home and leave! Also, she will be upset about not getting her breakfast!
The house is going to be pretty quiet while they heal up...maybe that's not such a bad thing?
Hey Jack,
Callie had her spay surgery on May 1st, she came into rescue with a litter of puppies so wasn't ready for spay when I got her.
We did get pain meds for her...by day 3 I was using every ex-pen I had to slow her down!
Good luck to the new girls!
